Manifest season 4 is officially happening at Netflix! Fans of the drama series had kept a close eye ever since its cancellation to see which streamer could potentially save the day and bring it back to life, and our favorite platform is fortunately the one to do it!

Manifest was added to Netflix in June 2021, right before the Manifest season 3 finale aired on NBC. The show was one of the top shows and movies on Netflix for at least two months.

Only the first two seasons of Manifest were added to Netflix in June 2021, but fans were pleasantly surprised when Manifest season 3 dropped without warning in August.

By the time Netflix fans binged season 3, everyone was desperate to find out if season 4 would ever happen. If you saw the social media push for someone to save the show, you’ll know that this fanbase is super dedicated and there’s certainly an audience for another installment. So, below you can find out everything we know about Manifest season 4 part 1’s fall 2022 release and Manifest season 4 part 2’s upcoming release right now.

Manifest season 4 part 1 release date

On Aug. 28, 2022, otherwise known as 828 day to Manifesters and one year after announcing that the show had been saved, Netflix announced that Manifest season 4 part 1 will be released on Friday, Nov. 4. That date holds an extra special meaning to the series (if you know, you know).

The first part of the final season will contain 10 episodes, and the second part will contain the last 10 episodes of the series, which will be released sometime in 2023.

How many seasons of Manifest are there?

So far, there are three seasons of Manifest. The first season premiered on NBC in 2018. The season 3 finale aired on NBC on June 10, 2021. All three seasons of Manifest are available to stream on Netflix.

There will only be one more season of Manifest. Netflix ordered a 20-episode fourth and final season of the series, which will be split into two 10-episode halves. Although the series had aimed for six seasons, the super-sized fourth season will be the last.

Will there be a season 4 of Manifest?

As of August 28, 2021, Manifest season 4 is officially in the works! The day has been dubbed “828 Day” by fans because of Flight 828 in the series. We were hoping Netflix would deliver good news to commemorate the day, and we were right! Per a press release sent out on 828 Day, another season is happening and it will mark the show’s last.

In case you aren’t up to date with the show’s history, Manifest was canceled after three seasons. That was announced in June 2021 after the season 3 finale aired.

In July, we learned that Netflix and NBC were back in talks with Warner Bros. TV to save Manifest and bring back the series for season 4, according to a report from Deadline. By August, Netflix was officially in talks with the writers and cast to bring back, save the show, and order Manifest season 4, per another report from Deadline.

How many episodes is Manifest season 4?

Also announced on 828 Day was that Manifest season 4 will be 20 episodes long, which is much longer than other titles on the platform. Netflix usually sticks to 8-10 episodes per season. According to the press release, the final season will be “presented in parts to be determined,” meaning it will likely be broken up into two or more parts.

We’re not sure why Netflix decided to present the final 20 episodes of Manifest this way instead of doing two more seasons, but we’re just happy we’re getting more content at all!

Following the initial announcement of the episode count, cast members have confirmed that there will in fact be two parts for the final season. Each part of Manifest season 4 will contain 10 episodes.

Ahead of the first part of the final season’s release in November 2022, the titles of all 10 episodes have been revealed. The titles preview what to expect from the season while also leaving more questions about what we’ll be seeing in the final season.

When is Manifest season 4 filming?

Filming on season 4 of Manifest began in November 2021 in New York. The cast and crew got back to work at Silvercup Studios, and stars such as Melissa Roxburgh and Josh Dallas didn’t hesitate to give us some behind-the-scenes shots and filming hints.

Dallas’ wife Ginnifer Goodwin teased that Manifest season 4 would wrap sometime in late 2022, but that hasn’t been confirmed by Netflix.

Writing on season 4 began almost immediately after it was saved, as announced by creator Jeff Rake and the writing team. Because they were able to get an early start on the final season, the cast and crew were able to move right into production in late 2021.

Is Manifest season 4 part 1 done filming?

Yes! In April 2022, the Manifest cast and crew wrapped production on the first half of the final season. As previously stated, filming on the season began in November 2021. Filming lasted about five months and took a break for post-production before its release in November 2022.

Is Manifest season 4 part 2 done filming?

An exact date wasn’t immediately revealed for the filming date for the final 10 episodes of the series, but cast member Luna Blaise tweeted the hiatus was “almost over” on May 24, 2022. Josh Dallas reiterated that sentiment during our exclusive interview, in which he alluded to filming picking back up in the coming weeks of summer.

Production on season 4 part 2, and the series as a whole, ended in October 2022. The final 10 episodes will go into post-production before their release in 2023.

In November 2021, it was confirmed that Matt Long would return for season 4 as a series regular.

Will there be a time jump in Manifest season 4?

From the time Netflix renewed Manifest for its final season, there had been rumors and theories of a time jump swirling among fans, and a recent on-set photo featuring Dallas and the twins that play Eden on the series seemed to confirm those rumors and theories.

However, during our exclusive interview with Dallas, the one huge detail he teased about the new season was the two-year time jump. It seems we’re fast-forwarding to the Death Date (June 2, 2024), but we’ll surely being seeing what happens within those two years, too.

After the release of part 1, creator Jeff Rake teased that part 2 would also have a time jump, though it would only skip ahead a few months rather than two years.

During Geeked Week on Monday, June 6, Netflix released the first footage of Manifest season 4 as introduced by star Josh Dallas. It’s an exciting payoff for fans to finally see a first look teaser from the upcoming final season, especially with the clip we received.

In the first look teaser, Michaela walks around a shipyard following a calling for cherry blossoms. She walks toward a storage container, which is glowing from above, and when she enters the dark container, a hand reaches out and grabs her leg. “Stone 828” is etched onto the person’s arm.

Manifest season 4 part 1 spoilers

Warning: Spoilers ahead from Manifest season 4 episode 10!

When we next meet up with the Flight 828 passengers in part 2, there will be a number of plot twists to contend with from the part 1 finale. Not only did Angelina steal the Omega Sapphire and abuse its powers, but she opened up what looks like volcanic fissures throughout New York that can’t spell good news for saving the Lifeboat and beating the Death Date.

In order to help save the passengers (and the world) from the Death Date, Zeke absorbed Cal’s pain and died in his place. Cal has now recovered from his cancer because of Zeke’s sacrifice, which will be a massive emotional hurtle and motivator for Michaela in the final episodes. Once again, the Stone family will grapple with grief in the face of the highest stakes.
