Manifest season 4 cast: Matt Long returning as series regular for final season

The good news for Manifesters just continues to fly in one after the other, and it’s safe to say we’re not complaining one bit. Manifest season 4 is preparing to make its landing on Netflix in 2022 for the 20-episode final season.

Of course, Netflix saved Manifest from cancellation, opting to bring back the fan-favorite series back for a super-sized last hurrah. As of Nov. 18, the cast and crew got back to work on season 4 as filming began on the final episodes.

Ahead of the highly anticipated arrival of Manifest season 4, we have been getting all kinds of hints and teases, including new regular cast members and even the title of the first episode. But there’s a certain star fans had been worried about seeing in season 4.

Because Matt Long became attached to a new series following Manifest’s cancellation, his availability as Zeke in season 4 was in question. However, it looks like we will be seeing a lot more of Michaela Stone’s other half in the upcoming final season.

Matt Long returning for Manifest season 4

TV Line reports that creator Jeff Rake confirmed Matt Long will now complete his run on Manifest as intended. NBC passed on Getaway, the pilot Long signed onto, which effectively cleared his schedule to be able to return to Manifest full time.

Previously, Long was only poised to appear in a handful of episodes of season 4, as his expected role on Getaway would allot him time to juggle both series but not appear as Zeke as often as we’d become used to now. Thankfully, that’s no longer a problem.

Manifesters would have surely supported Long’s new project and been grateful to have seen him at all in season 4, but we can all agree that having him back as a series regular is much better. We can’t wait to see what’s next for Michaela and Zeke and the rest of the 828ers!
