Consider Selling Sunset and all its drama off the market! Following the popular real estate reality series' most recent eighth season in September 2024, a new season is already on the way. According to series star Amanza Smith, Netflix has renewed the reality series for season 9.

"And we're back," Smith wrote on Instagram. "Who's ready for Season 9?" The star captioned a video of her walking in a black leather dress with gloves and boots, what appears to be a white piano handbag, and a slicked back long ponytail while on set. Season 9 appears to be in production!

As previously mentioned, Selling Sunset season 8 premiered earlier this fall on Sept. 6 with 11 brand-new episodes that definitely brought the drama fans have come to crave. Between Alanna's claims that she owns Pioneertown and the rumors spread about Emma, it was quite the season.

With Selling Sunset season 9 on the way, the real estate reality series becomes one of the longest-running unscripted reality series on Netflix. The show now matches Queer Eye's nine seasons, while Love is Blind trails just behind the two with its upcoming eighth season in February 2025.

When Selling Sunset season 9 could be released

As of Smith's post announcing Selling Sunset season 9 on Nov. 13, Netflix hasn't officially announced the new season, revealed how many episodes there will be, or hinted at when the landmark season will be released. However, each season has had 11 episodes since season 5, so it's a safe bet season 9 will again have 11 episodes and edge even closer to the 100-episode milestone.

Considering filming appears to already be underway, the next season should drop on Netflix and hit our watch lists sometime in 2025. The past two seasons have been released in the fall, November and September respectively, which suggests fans should anticipate the Oppenheim Group drama to return in fall 2025, but we'll share more as it's announced.

Selling Sunset helped pioneer the streaming service's growing empire of real estate shows, spawning spinoffs Selling Tampa (now canceled) and Selling the OC (not yet renewed for season 4). Netflix released renewed Ryan Serhant's Owning Manhattan for a second season and canceled the popular but seemingly too expensive Buying Beverly Hills after two seasons.
