If you're looking for new real estate reality shows to watch on Netflix, we have the perfect list -- not listing -- for you.
Netflix is doing reality TV better than basically every other streaming network. Lately, Netflix has pushed into the real estate reality TV space following the success of Selling Sunset, which premiered on the streamer in 2019. More on that in a minute!
We shared a list of three of the best real estate reality shows on Netflix right now. If you love expensive houses and apartments with a hefty serving of drama, these are the shows for you.
Owning Manhattan
Owning Manhattan is the newest of Netflix's real estate shows. The new Netflix original series premiered on June 28, 2024. It follows Ryan Serhant, a real estate broker in Manhattan, and the other brokers, agents, and assistants at his agency, Serhant.
In the series, viewers get a behind-the-scenes look at the high-stakes world of real estate deals in the most expensive city in the US. You'll follow agents and clients as the tour properties, host open houses, and try to sell some of the most expensive properties in New York City. How realistic is it? Well, it's a reality series, so you know exactly what you're signing up for!
There are 10 episodes in the first season of the series. We're still waiting to find out if Netflix is making season 2.
Buying Beverly Hills
Buying Beverly Hills is another great real estate reality series on Netflix right now. It's a bit on the newer side, unlike Selling Sunset. There are two seasons of the series, though! The first season premiered on Netflix in 2022. In March 2024, Netflix added the second season, which consists of 10 episodes, just like Owning Manhattan.
Buying Beverly Hills follows real estate broker Mauricio Umansky, his family, and the brokers and agents at his agency, The Agency RE, as they try to find the perfect homes for their clients. It's also not totally about business. It's very personal, and there's lots of drama.
There are two seasons of the series streaming on Netflix right now. Buying Beverly Hills has not been renewed for season 3 yet, but we're hopeful!
Selling Sunset
I mentioned that we'd be talking about Selling Sunset again, and here we are! Selling Sunset was one of the first popular real estate reality shows on Netflix. It tells the story of the Oppenheim Group and its brokers and agents, including Jason and Brett Oppenheim, Chrishell Stause, Christine Quinn, Heather El Moussa, and more.
Selling Sunset premiered on Netflix on May 19, 2019, and the show is still going strong. So far, there have been seven seasons of the hit reality series that helped Netflix launch its Selling franchise of sorts, which includes Selling Tampa, Selling The OC, and the upcoming series, Selling The City.
If you like looking at amazing homes with a lot of personal and workplace drama, Selling Sunset is a great series to check out on Netflix right now. You'll binge-watch all seven seasons so quickly; I promise.
Netflix hasn't officially renewed Selling Sunset for season 8, but there are rumors online that the series has been renewed. Stause also announced the eighth season would begin filming soon during the season 7 reunion special. We'll let you know more about the future of the series when we find out. There's no way this is the end of the successful reality series.
