Selling Sunset season 8 is finally streaming on Netflix, and this season we meet a new real estate agent at the Oppenheim Group, Alanna Gold. With her outgoing and bubbly personality, she pretty much gets along with all of the other real estate agents.
We're introduced to Alanna in the first episode of the season. We find out that she's 32 years old, has been in real estate for three years, and that she apparently owns a small Western town in the California desert called Pioneertown. Later in the season, Alanna decides to take some of her co-workers on a trip to Pioneertown, a place that she calls "home away from home."
You're probably wondering if Alanna actually owns the town. Well, we're here to tell you that she does. She co-owns it with her husband, Adam Gold. In a new interview with People, Alanna spoke about the reason on why she and her husband decided to purchase Pioneertown.
Pioneertown was created in the 1940s. It's a late nineteenth-century themed town in San Bernardino County, California. It was once a movie set for actors working on Western films and TV shows but currently functions as a real live town. As reported by People, Alanna and her husband decided to purchase the town because of their "deep connection" to the desert. When they were dating, Pioneertown was a place where they had one of their first dates. They even got married there in July 2022.
"We've always really loved it [Pioneertown], and it was actually where we went for one of our first trips. We always knew we wanted to own a piece of property out there or be a part of the community somehow. "Alanna Gold via People
Besides their love for the town, Alanna and Adam also saw purchasing Pioneertown as a way of saving it and its history.
"It needed a lot of updates and things like that, and we really wanted to bring it back to life. So it was just this opportunity to really make it vibrant again."Alanna Gold via People
When asked on if they would ever sell the town, Alanna tells People that she and her husband don't plan on selling it anytime soon.
"It's very special and it's an opportunity that I don't think will ever come by again. I think it's something we would hold on to. We really do love being a part of the desert out there."Alanna Gold via People
Selling Sunset season 8 is streaming now only on Netflix.
