Netflix has had tremendous success with its animated titles over the last few years, winning Best Animated Feature at the Oscars for Guillermo del Toro's Pinnochio and netting the biggest animated film debut yet with Adam Sandler's 2023 comedy Leo.
Next, Netflix will return to the Annecy International Animation Film Festival held annually in France where the streamer will debut sneak peeks at exciting upcoming projects like Spellbound, Ultraman: Rising, a new Wallace & Gromit movie, Arcane season 2, and more.
Blue Eye Samurai (which recently received multiple wins at the Annies) will be in competition at the festival along with Pokémon Concierge.
Beginning on Wednesday, June 12, Netflix has an on-stage presentation planned titled Next on Netflix Animation: From Twilight of the Gods to Wallace & Gromit. The presentation will feature the award-winning Aardman team with a sneak peek at the untitled Wallace & Gromit film expected to debut in 2025. Rebel Moon director Zack Snyder will also be in attendance to unveil new clips from his upcoming adult animated series Twlight of the Gods, premiering this fall.
Additionally, Netflix is expected to treat audiences to material from Skydance Animation film Spellbound and The Twits, adapted from Roald Dahl's book of the same name. Also on June 12, the festival will also include the world premiere of Ultraman: Rising from director Shannon Tindle and co-director John Aoshima. Ultraman: Rising will then launch worldwide on Netflix on June 14.

Details on 2025 animated films and Big Mouth season 8
The Twits is Netflix's next Dahl adaptation after The Wonderful Story of Henry Sugar and will be released in 2025.
Here's the official synopsis shared by the streamer:
"Mr. and Mrs. Twit are the meanest, smelliest, nastiest people in the world who also happen to own and operate the most disgusting, most dangerous, most idiotic amusement park in the world, Twitlandia. But when the Twits rise to power in their town, two brave orphans and a family of magical animals are forced to become as tricky as the Twits in order to save the city. A hysterically funny, wild ride of a film (chock-full of the Twits’ beloved tricks–from the Wormy Spaghetti to the Dreaded Shrinks), The Twits is also a story for our times, about the never-ending battle between cruelty and empathy."
Big Mouth's eighth and final season will also be released in 2025, along with the untitled Wallace & Gromit film currently in development from directors Nick Park and Merle Crossingham. Netflix also shared a synopsis for the movie:
"Gromit’s concern that Wallace has become over-dependent on his inventions proves justified, when Wallace invents a “smart gnome” that seems to develop a mind of its own...As events spiral out of control, it falls to Gromit to put aside his qualms and battle sinister forces - or Wallace may never be able to invent again!"
