The summer days are rapidly dwindling now that June and July have ended. Before long, summer break will end and a new school year will begin, as will the fall television season on the small screen. But summer isn't over yet! While it might feel like the season is behind us, we still have August, and depending how you measure summer, September left to treat us with new Netflix shows.

So far this summer, Netflix has already spoiled us with the likes of Harlan Coben's I Will Find You, the second season of Ransom Canyon, Will Ferrell's hilarious comedy series The Hawk, and so many more huge hits that we can't stop binge-watching. Thankfully, Netflix will continue to keep us entertained until summer actually ends and welcomes a whole new crop of fall releases.

While Netflix still has plenty of late-summer tricks up its sleeve in September 2026, the streaming service is making sure summer goes out with a bang thanks to the six incredible original series coming in August, between Beauty in Black season 3, the final season of Outer Banks, and the highly anticipated new episodes of Leanne Morgan's sitcom. Check out what's still to come!

One Hundred Years of Solitude part 2

Netflix's series adaptation of Gabriel García Márquez's novel One Hundred Years of Solitude comes to an end in August 2026 with the release of its final batch of episodes. The series first made its premiere back in December 2024, but the grand finale has finally arrived.

One Hundred Years of Solitude centers on a group who leave their home in order to settle in a new territory in order to escape a curse and find peace in the utopia of Macondo. Of course, it's not quite as simple as its seems and trouble still follows them in various forms.

The final season makes its premiere on Aug. 5, with the first seven episodes of the season dropping on that date. Once you have sat with the events of those episodes for a couple weeks, the super-sized series finale episode drops on Aug. 26. Set your reminders now!

My Life with the Walter Boys season 3

If you thought the best summer romances were already in the past, think again! We're heading back Silver Falls for another chapter of Jackie Howard's complicated love triangle with those Walter boys. That's right, My Life with the Walter Boys is back for season 3.

This season, Jackie continues to be torn between Cole and Alex after the events of the second season leaves the triangle in an even more precarious position. My Life with the Walter Boys season 3 premieres on Aug. 6, and there's even better news: season 4 is already in the works!

Tires season 3

What's summer without some extra laughs? We might have already got some care of Will Ferrell's larger than life golf pro and the final season of Michelle Buteau's Survival of the Thickest, but Shane Gillis is back with the third season of his edgy workplace comedy Tires.

Tires season 3 brings the employees of Valley Forge Automotive Center back to our screens with another season of wild shenanigans and big guest stars. Expect to see Rachel Blanchard, Garret Dillahunt, Matt Walsh, Jamie Lynn Sigler, and more dropping by the store.

Outer Banks season 5

It's the end of an era for Netflix all over again. Stranger Things ending marked a major era's end for the streaming service, but Outer Banks ending brings a whole different era to a close. But there's no time to dwell on goodbyes because the Pogues are embarking on their last adventure.

Outer Banks season 5 finds the Pogues continuing to grieve the loss of JJ and moving forward with tracking down both the Blue Crown and Chandler Groff in the name of justice and revenge. Kie's even toying with the idea of bringing JJ back from the dead, so could we be getting supernatural?

Probably not, but there's no doubt that the final season of the fan-favorite hit has plenty of surprises in store. The 10-episode final season releases on Aug. 20 with all of the episodes dropping at once. Prepare for a shocking, emotional, and action-packed binge-watch!

Beauty in Black season 3

Perhaps one of the summer's most highly anticipated new releases, we didn't even know that Tyler Perry's hit drama series was even coming back this summer. The news dropped as a surprise with about a month to spare, as Beauty in Black season 3 arrives on Aug. 27.

It's a much earlier release date that fans expected since Perry last said season 3 wouldn't premiere in 2027. But Beauty in Black's fate changed for the better twice, as season 3 will no longer be the last hurrah for the Bellarie family's drama. Netflix renewed the series for a fourth season!

Leanne season 2

If summer doesn't officially end until September, then we also still have The Gentlemen season 2, Crew Girl, and A Different World to look forward to. But August closes out with both drama care of Tyler Perry and laughs from Chuck Lorre and Leanne Morgan.

Leanne season 2 premieres on Aug. 27 with 10 brand-new episodes of hilarious situations and jokes as Morgan's character continues to start over with new loves and her parents now living with her. The second season might have fewer episodes, but the hilarity hasn't been reduced at all.
