Before the fall TV and movie season goes into full effect, Netflix continues to drop great new releases for our weekend watch lists. The streamer begins to roll out its lineup of fall movies with the Sept. 6 release of Rebel Ridge, but this weekend brings even more star power to our watch lists thanks to one of Tom Cruise's most underrated action movies.

As for binge-watching, most of us will be spending the weekend on Nantucket with Nicole Kidman. The new Netflix original limited series The Perfect Couple has already skyrocketed to the peak of the daily top 10 most popular shows ranking as mystery fans flock to the sudsy thriller to find out whodunit. Speaking of drama, Selling Sunset is back, too!

Watch the new movie Rebel Ridge

Aaron Pierre, Don Johnson, and AnnaSophia Robb star in the new Netflix original movie Rebel Ridge. In the drama film, a former Marine named Terry attempts to post bail for his cousin to be released from jail, but the gestures leads to an unwanted encounter with the local police. Terry now has to wade through corruption and danger in order to claim justice. Rebel Ridge boasts both suspense and a message, making for a perfectly entertaining and thought-provoking weekend movie night.

Selling Sunset season 8 brings the drama

This season tackles many of the scandalous happenings that have hit the headlines, including the drama between Chelsea and Bre, the malicious rumor that was spread about Emma, and what's going on between Chelsea and her husband.
