Selling Sunset season 8: What happened between Chelsea and her husband Jeff Lazkani?

We're used to there being drama in every season of Selling Sunset, but Selling Sunset season 8 didn't hold back on the drama at all. Sadly, one of the top real estate agents at the O Group discovered some life-changing news this season. We're talking about Chelsea Lazkani, and the news involves her relationship with her husband, Jeff Lazkani.

Chelsea joined Selling Sunset in its fifth season and quickly became close friends with fellow O Group real estate agents Chrishell Stause and Emma Hernan. When she was introduced, it was revealed that she was married to a man named Jeff Lazkani and that they had two kids together. It seemed like the two were happily in love throughout the seasons, but it looks like things have drastically changed as of season 8.

Very early on in Selling Sunset season 8, Chelsea learns from her co-worker/frenemy Bre Tiesi that Jeff is cheating on her. Bre was given this information from a friend/real estate agent named Amanda Lynn. Amanda had received text messages from a close friend saying that they had seen Jeff and another woman making out at the W Hotel. She shares these text messages with Bre over lunch, and then Bre goes and tells Chelsea about them over drinks.

In her conversation with Bre, Chelsea reveals that she knew something was up with Jeff but didn't know what exactly. She just knew there was a disconnect, and now she knows that the disconnect was because he was cheating on her.

Throughout the rest of the season, Chelsea struggles with processing the infidelity and how to move forward in her marriage to Jeff. While she never actually states that she's getting a divorce in the show, she does end up getting a divorce off-camera.

We had learned back in March 2024, before Selling Sunset season 8 had even come out, that Chelsea had officially filed for divorce from Jeff, citing "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for their split. The divorce news had come as a shock to fans, seeing as though things seemed to be going great for them in Selling Sunset season 7. Chelsea's 30th birthday party was filmed, and Jeff had gone all out on making it a great birthday, even buying Chelsea her first Birkin bag. But now we know why they've decided to split, or at least one of the reasons. Jeff had cheated, and Chelsea couldn't get past it.

Then, in April 2024, Jeff responded to the divorce filing, saying that he also wanted a divorce and cited irreconcilable differences as the reason as well. According to People, in a written declaration that Jeff filed with the court, he claimed that many of his personal belongings had disappeared or were either taken from their Manhattan Beach home after Chelsea filed for divorce in March. In other words, he was claiming that Chelsea had something to do with his missing items.

He also accused her of being physically aggressive before and after the divorce filing. In addition, he claimed that he hadn't slept in their primary bedroom at their home since they had their son. So, it looks like Chelsea and Jeff's marriage was already on the rocks. As of Sept. 6, it doesn't look like Chelsea and Jeff are officially divorced yet. However, it doesn't appear they have called off the divorce either.

Chelsea and Jeff met through the dating app Tinder and got married on Aug. 12, 2017. They share a son named Maddox Ali, 5, and a daughter named Melia Iman, 3. However, after six years of marriage, they have decided to call it quits.
