Lopez vs. Lopez

George Lopez and real-life daughter Mayan Lopez star in the NBC sitcom Lopez vs. Lopez as an estranged father-daughter duo who come back into each other's lives in a big way. When George moves in with Mayan, her boyfriend, and their son, it's a crash course in repairing their relationship.

Lopez vs. Lopez season 2, which only contains 10 episodes compared to the first season's 22, was released on Netflix on Sept. 18. It's perfect timing for fans to catch up on the series before the third season makes its premiere on NBC in October. If you were a fan of George Lopez back in the day, it's definitely worth checking out the comedian's newest sitcom!

The Hughleys

In search of some throwback vibes? Don't miss your chance to watch one of the funniest forgotten favorites of the small screen. The Hughleys recently dropped all four seasons and 89 episodes on Netflix, right on time for all of us millennials to get our nostalgia fix.

The Hughleys stars comedian D. L. Hughley as a father who moves his family from a South Los Angeles neighborhood to a predominantly white neighborhood in The Valley. The comedy comes from the family learning to adjust to their new surroundings. If you watched reruns of this show when you got home from school, now's your time to relive the glory days.

Reba

Could any list of family sitcoms ever be worth its salt without Reba featured somewhere? Well, no! Thankfully, Reba made its way to Netflix this year with all six laugh-out-loud seasons. It's almost as if Reba herself knew we would need a laugh from our comfort show this year.

The series takes place in the epicenter of familial dysfunction as Reba weathers multiple storms, including her ex-husband and his new pregnant wife he cheated on her with moving in next door as well as her teenage daughter revealing her own pregnancy. A single mom who loves her kids and never stops! Whether for the first or hundredth time, check out Reba while it's on Netflix.

The Upshaws

The Netflix original sitcom The Upshaws might be one of the streamer's most underrated shows. While its premise is nothing we haven't seen before, and actually quite similar to a lot of the shows on this list, the performances and writing are what make this show worth watching.

Also, for a show with a sharp of a sense of humor, The Upshaws gets real and touches on important aspects of family life that are often left out of some small-screen sitcoms. Before the series returns next year with part 6 ahead of its final season, make sure to binge-watch this hidden family sitcom gem!

My Wife & Kids

How about one more throwback for the road? My Wife & Kids, which aired on ABC from 2001 to 2005, also arrived on Netflix recently for millennials to rediscover another after school show. Seriously, does it get any better than getting to rewatch your favorite childhood show?

Damon Wayans and Tisha Campbell starred in My Wife & Kids for five seasons and 123 episodes, portraying the Kyle family as they live an average, but oh-so funny, upper middle class existence in Stamford, Connecticut. Add the Kyle family to your watch list and get your laughs!
