My Wife and Kids cast ages: How old was the cast then (and now)?

My Wife and Kids is easily one of the best Black sitcoms from the early 2000s, and luckily, we can all go back and re-watch the entire series since it's now on Netflix!

Created by Don Reo and Damon Wayans, My Wife and Kids premiered on ABC in March 2001 and had a series run of five seasons before coming to an end in May 2005. It starred Emmy-nominated actor Damon Wayans as a successful trucking company executive named Michael Kyle Sr who tries his best to be the best husband and father he can be to his wife and their three kids.

Joining Wayans in the main cast were Tisha Campbell, George O. Gore II, Jennifer Freeman, and Parker McKenna Posey. But where is everyone now in 2024? It's been quite some time since My Wife and Kids ended its run, so you might be wondering where the cast is today. No worries! We shared an update on where the cast is now and their current ages below.

Damon Wayans as Michael Kyle Sr

Damon was born on Sept. 4, 1960, in New York City. More specifically, in the Harlem neighborhood in Upper Manhattan, New York City. He is 63 years old as of February 2024, and his zodiac sign is Virgo. In addition, he was 40 years old when My Wife and Kids season 1 came out in 2001.

Some fun facts about Damon are that he and Beyoncé share the same birthday, he's close friends with Michael Jordan and Jim Carrey, and one of his sons is also an actor. His son's name is Damon Wayans Jr., and he's known for playing Coach in the TV show New Girl.

Damon is still acting to this day. His most recent project was the thriller flick Cinnamon. You can watch it on Tubi. He's currently working on an upcoming CBS television series called Poppa's House, which is believed to be coming out sometime in 2024.

Tisha Campbell as Janet Marie "Jay" Kyle

Everyone knows Tisha Campbell, and if you don't know, you must be living under a rock. She's a talented actress who was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, but was raised in Newark, New Jersey. She was born on Oct. 13, 1968, making her 55 years old and her zodiac sign Libra. However, when My Wife and Kids season 1 premiered, she was 32 years old.

Some of her previous work that you might recognize her from was her role as Gina in the Black sitcom Martin. She also appeared in the movies School Daze, Boomerang, House Party, House Party 2 and House Party 3. When it comes to television, she had roles in Everybody Hates Chris, Dr. Ken, Empire and Netflix's Uncoupled. She most recently starred as Keisha in the short-lived Bounce original series Act Your Age. We'll see Tisha next in the upcoming comedy film Not Another Church Movie.

George O. Gore II as Michael Richard "Junior" Kyle Jr

George hails from Fort Washington, Maryland, and was born on Dec. 15, 1982. He is 41 years old as of February 2024, and his zodiac sign is Sagittarius. But when My Wife and Kids season 1 came out, he was only 18 years old.

While many people know him for his role as Junior in My Wife and Kids, he had previously starred as Gregory "G" Williams in the police drama series New York Undercover. After moving on from My Wife and Kids, he went on to play himself in the short-lived BET series Second Generation Wayans. He also played the role of Ray in the musical comedy Dance Flick. However, it's unclear what he's been up to in the past year. He isn't on social media, and he hasn't appeared in any movies or TV shows in a while.

Jennifer Freeman as Claire Kyle

Jennifer wasn't initially playing the Claire character. The Lincoln Lawyer star Jazz Raycole was playing the character. However, Jazz was replaced by Jennifer in the second season. Jennifer was reportedly born on Oct. 20, 1985, in Long Beach, California, making her 38 years old and her zodiac sign Libra. But when she joined the My Wife and Kids cast in its second season, she was only 15 years old.

In addition to her role as Claire in My Wife and Kids, Jennifer also played the role of Liyah in the dance drama film You Got Served and Jill in the comedy movie Johnson Family Vacation. Her most recent role was playing Kimberly in the BET+ series The Black Hamptons.

Parker McKenna Posey as Kady Kyle

Born on Aug. 18, 1995, in Los Angeles, California, Parker is currently 28 years old and her zodiac sign is Leo. However, she was only 5 years old when the first season of My Wife and Kids premiered on ABC in March 2001.

While Parker is best known for her role as Kady in the family sitcom, she went on to star in the BET drama series Games People Play as Laila James and in the television series A House Divided as Summer. She most recently appeared as herself on College Hill: Celebrity Edition season 2 on BET+. She also had roles in the Tubi movies Assistant and Rock the Boat and in the thriller film Wake.
