November is full of new Netflix shows to watch, like The Hunting Wives, Black Doves, and The Altruists, but which are actually worth watching?

We have reached the final two months of 2026, which couldn't feel weirder because how did the year fly by so fast? But just because the year is coming to an end doesn't mean that there's nothing good to watch on Netflix. Actually, it's quite the opposite. We might not have a major tentpoles like last year's epic Stranger Things farewell event, but there are a lot of great shows to dig into.

Netflix revealed the full list of new releases for November 2026, and there are as many returning favorites as there are new premieres that will keep you entertained right into the holiday season. The streaming service finally brings back Keira Knightley's spy thriller Black Doves and returns to Maple Brook for even more drama in The Hunting Wives season 2.

However, are all of the new release Netflix shows coming in November 2026 worth adding to your watch list right away. Naturally, some shows aren't must-watches, whether it's because of genre or other reasons that might keep viewers from tuning in. We're running down the six biggest new series dropping in November and recommending if you should watch or skip!

Black Doves season 2

Watch! Judging by the kinds of shows that have become the most popular throughout the year, it's safe to say that the average Netflix watcher loves a good thriller. In that regard, how would it make sense to suggest you skip the long-awaited Black Doves season 2?

Keira Knightley and Ben Whishaw are back and teaming up again as Helen and Sam in the British spy drama's second season, which arrives almost two years after the show's initial premiere on Netflix in December 2024. The show drops another six gripping episodes fans must watch ASAP.

In Black Doves season 2, Helen continues to work with the titular organization and providing her nation's secrets, which becomes as even more precarious situation as her husband rises to Prime Minister. From beginning to end, the new season promises a thrill ride when it arrives on Nov. 5.

North of North season 2

Watch! If you're looking for some levity and laughs to break up the long list of drama series coming to Netflix in November, look no further than the Canadian sitcom North of North. The Canadian Screen Award-nominated series returns with its second season on Nov. 5.

In North of North season 2, Siaja Kudlak (Anna Lambe) continues to prove herself to her family, friends, and community as a single mother and other facets of her life. But she continues to struggle to do so with all eyes on her mistakes as much as her wins.

While North of North season 2 has already aired in Canada, the global streaming premiere on Netflix brings the series back to the streamer with new episodes for the first time since April 2025. With only eight episodes to binge-watch, it's a quick and charming comedy you can't miss.

The Body

Skip! Each month, Netflix releases at least one new original series that's a bit of an acquired taste. In November 2026, that honor belongs to the teen supernatural horror series The Body, which makes its debut with eight episodes on Nov. 11.

From creator Quinn Shephard, The Body takes place at a Catholic school as the dance team kicks off an initiation that goes sideways. After the botched initiation, the group of "badly behaved" girls begin to have visions as a wave of hysteria sweeps through their town.

The Body stars Kristina Bogic, Sara Boustany, Sofia Wylie, Geena Meszaros, Shirley Chen, and Gabby Windy. If you're not particularly interested in horror series or want to extend spooky season into November, feel free to skip this one for another time.

The Empress season 3

Skip! Yes, I'm suggesting The Empress as a skip, but it's nothing personal and has nothing to do with the series. Those who have been obsessed with the German historial drama since its premiere back in 2022 should absolutely watch the final episodes right when they drop.

But if you haven't watched the series before, you're probably not rushing to put The Empress season 3 at the top of your watch list. In that sense, it's a skip when put side to side with the other shows on the list. Still, not having watch the show before is also an opportunity.

With only three seasons and six episodes featured in each season, it's pretty easy to start from the beginning and watch all 18 episodes as a single binge-watch. Some of us have been waiting two years for season 3 to drop, but others can jump aboard and catch up all at once.

The Altruists

Watch! There's never a world in which a series, limited or otherwise, that stars Julia Garner would be suggested as a skip. It's just not going to happen. Garner previously starred in the Netflix hits Ozark and Inventing Anna, winning three Emmys for Ozark, and she's finally back on the streamer on Nov. 19.

The Altruists tackles the true crime story of FTX and Alameda Research CEOs Caroline Ellison (Julia Garner) and Sam Bankman-Fried (Anthony Boyle) and their rise and fall for their cryptocurrency crimes. Once again, the series gives Garner the chance to deliver another memorable accent.

The cherry on top of getting to watch Julia Garner act for eight episodes of gripping true crime drama is Heated Rivalry and Yaga breakout star Hudson Williams making an appearance. He might only play a minor role, but he's more than worth watching anything, always, no matter what.

The Hunting Wives season 2

Watch! Last but certainly not least, Netflix saves its marquee release of the month for Thanksgiving Day with the hotly awaited new season of The Hunting Wives. The eight-episode follow-up of the surprise smash-hit debuts on Thanksgiving as a perfect holiday treat.

The Hunting Wives season 2 begins with Sophie (Brittany Snow) and Margo (Malin Akerman) not on such great terms, but secrets, circumstances, and shared enemies bring them back together for another round of their dangerous and deadly games.

You might think Thanksgiving Day is an inconvenient time to release The Hunting Wives season 2, but I can't think of anything better than starting the season while prepping dinner, relaxing after eating the big meal, or curling up that night before Black Friday shopping with your chosen festive dessert.
