Outer Banks is officially done and dusted! The last ride of the Pogues came to an end on Aug. 20, 2026. If you're a fan of the series like me, you're probably wondering a lot of things.

Are Rafe and Sofia okay? Where do I go from here? How do I move on when the best Netflix show of the last half-decade has come to an end? What are the Pogues going to do with all that? Can I have some? And, of course, what am I going to watch next?

Well, I don't know the answers to those first few questions, but I can answer the last one. I shared a list of four good Netflix shows after you watched Outer Banks season 5 and are waiting for the prequel series that's officially in the works on Netflix.

If you love teen angst: Ginny and Georgia

Ginny and Georgia is the top show I'd recommend for most Outer Banks fans. The shows are very different. There's no gold. It definitely leans into different kinds of drama than Outer Banks, but these shows have a lot of similarities.

Ginny and Georgia tells the story of Ginny, played by Antonia Gentry, who is a teenager just trying to get by in the wake of her mom, Georgia, played by Brianne Howey, and the chaos she leaves in her wake. After bouncing around from town to town, Georgia finally settles the family down in a small-ish town, and that's where Ginny and Georgia begins.

With this show and Outer Banks, we have a small town, a teen-focused stories with murder and crime. Ginny and Georgia leans more on comedy at times and dives into mental health, addiction, and other heavy issues. Outer Banks does the same at times, though in a different way.

There are three seasons of Ginny and Georgia to stream on Netflix right now. We were hoping to see season 4 this year, but it's been pushed to 2027.

If you love epic heists: Lupin

Lupin is my go-to Netflix show for heist fans. I love this show so much. It's much more serious, most of the time, than Outer Banks, but it's such a good time.

Lupin is inspired by Maurice Leblanc's Arsene Lupin and the stories about the world's best gentlethief. In the Netflix series, Assane Diop, played by Omar Sy, uses the stories of Lupin to get revenge on a billionaire, pull off other heists, and stay one step ahead of the French authorities.

There are three seasons of Lupin streaming on Netflix right now. If you start watching this show soon, you'll catch up just in time for the Lupin season 4 premiere on Oct. 23, 2026.

If you love friends solving mysteries: On My Block

One of the key aspects of Outer Banks is friendship, and there are few Netflix shows that are more about friendship than On My Block. Plus, there's actually treasure in this series, too!

On My Block tells the story of a group of friends in Los Angeles who get in deep while trying to find long-lost money from a heist in the neighborhood. Sierra Capri, Jason Genao, Brett Gray, Diego Tinoco, Jessica Marie Garcia, Julio Macias, and Peggy Blow star in the series.

The series premiered on Netflix in 2018 and ran for four seasons through 2021. It's been a while since this show ended, but it's still a great series to check out after Outer Banks.

If you love the setting and darkness: Bloodline

Last but not least, we have to go with Bloodline. No, it's not set in the Outer Banks, but Bloodline is set in the Florida Keys. I'm not from either area, and I basically can't tell the difference. It's all beaches, oceans, boats, and tourism in Outer Banks and Bloodline.

Bloodline has an incredible cast, including Kyle Chandler, Ben Mendelsohn, Linda Cardellini, Norbert Leo Butz, John Leguizamo, Jacinda Barrett, Jamie McShane, Sissy Spacek, Enrique Murciano, Sam Shepard, Katie Finneran, Andrea Riseborough, and Chloë Sevigny.

The series tells the story of the Rayburn family with a dark, troubling history. When one of their family members returns to the area, old wounds are reopened, and a tragedy occurs. It's much darker than Outer Banks, but it's very, very good.

Bloodline ran for the three seasons on Netflix from 2015 to 2017. If you haven't seen it by now, it's probably time to make it happen!

That's the list of the four Netflix shows to watch after you finish Outer Banks. There are no shows exactly like Outer Banks, of course, but these shows have a lot to offer for Outer Banks fans.
