New Netflix movies and shows coming in November 2022
By Reed Gaudens
October brought some incredible new Netflix movies and shows into the fold as part of the Netflix and Chills lineup, but November might be the best month of the year for new releases. Some of the most anticipated new seasons and new series are coming this fall.
Manifest makes its official debut as a Netflix original series with the first part of its fourth and final season, while the Emmy-nominated dark comedy Dead to Me ends with its third season. The debuts of a new comedy and an update on a classic tale will also get people talking.
On the film side of things, your watch list will be well fed in November with the number of new Netflix movies headed our way. A trio of holiday movies, Enola’s return, and another knockout performance from Florence Pugh are just some the things to look forward to in November.
New Netflix movies November 2022
While we may still be weeks away from the holiday season, Netflix is getting a jump on the celebration with its new movies coming in November. Plus, there’s a highly anticipated sequel, an awards season must-watch, and a new movie for the whole family.
Enola Holmes 2
Release Date: Nov. 4
She’s back! Just after the release of Stranger Things season 4 earlier this year, Millie Bobby Brown returns to Netflix in Enola Holmes 2. The sequel finds Enola taking on her first case as a detective, and she’s tracking down a missing girl. Unfortunately, the case won’t be as cut and dry as Enola would have hoped. See how the younger Holmes solves the mystery on Nov. 4.
Falling for Christmas
Release Date: Nov. 10
The first new Netflix Christmas movie of the year comes out on Nov. 10 and stars none other than Lindsay Lohan. Falling for Christmas stars Lohan as Sierra, a hotel heiress who attracts a bout of amnesia due to an accident while skiing. Luckily, she finds herself in the care of a hunky ski lodge owner (Chord Overstreet). November also brings the releases of fellow holiday releases Christmas with You (Nov. 17) and The Noel Diary (Nov. 24).
The Wonder
Release Date: Nov. 16
Fresh off her turn in the much talked about Don’t Worry Darling, Florence Pugh brings her talents to Netflix in the new movie The Wonder. The film takes place in 1862 and stars Pugh as an English Nightingale Nurse who helps treat a young, malnourished girl. No doubt, Pugh’s performance will be show-stopping and inspirational when The Wonder premieres on Nov. 16.
Slumberland
Release Date: Nov. 18
Would you travel through a dreamland with Jason Momoa? That’s the question the Netflix family movie Slumberland poses as a young girl finds herself traveling through dreams and nightmares, hoping for the chance to see her late father one more time. Slumberland is full of adventure and hope, and the whole family can check it out on Nov. 18.
New Netflix shows November 2022
Since September was lighter on new Netflix shows and October was packed with huge releases for spooky season, November is filled to the brim with can’t-miss new shows worth binge-watching. From comedies to dramas to mysteries, there’s something for everyone!
Blockbuster
Release Date: Nov. 3
Always Be My Maybe star Randall Park and Brooklyn Nine-Nine alum Melissa Fumero headline Blockbuster, the new Netflix comedy series taking place at the last remaining Blockbuster Video store in the United States. In the 10-episode first season, the team looks to keep the store afloat amid a streaming world. Don’t miss the nostalgic mayhem on Nov. 3!
Manifest season 4 part 1
Release Date: Nov. 4
The Flight 828 passengers are finally back with new episodes! Manifest makes its mark as a Netflix original series with the release of season 4 part 1. The first 10 episodes of the 20-episode final season sees Ben (Josh Dallas) and his family grappling in the aftermath of tragedy and continuing to unravel the endless questions surrounding their unbelievable circumstances. The beginning of the end begins on Nov. 4, only on Netflix.
The Crown season 5
Release Date: Nov. 9
Just as the Royal Family reenters the global conversation with the passing of the Queen, Netflix readies the release of The Crown season 5 on Nov. 9. The streamer confirmed the November 2022 release date in September 2021 and locked down a date this September. Season 5 arrives just as the Emmy-winning series climbed the Netflix Top 10 and prepares to tell the most modern story of the monarchy we’ve seen on the series.
Dead to Me season 3
Release Date: Nov. 17
Well over two years after the release of season 2 in May 2020, Dead to Me season 3 arrives on Nov. 17 to wrap up the twisted story of Jen (Christina Applegate) and Judy’s (Linda Cardellini) friendship against all odds. The new season picks up after the car accident cliffhanger, which opened up a whole new aspect of mess for the partners in crime. See how the series comes to an end when the final 10 episodes release in mid-November.
Wednesday
Release Date: Nov. 23
Even though most fans would have expected Netflix to release Wednesday around Halloween, the streaming service opted to drop Tim Burton’s new take on The Addams Family on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving Day. (See what they did there?) Jenna Ortega stars as the titular Wednesday Addams, a teen coming of age at Nevermore Academy. There’s no better way to spend the long holiday break than by watching all eight episodes of the new series.
