Brooklyn Nine-Nine was considered by The Washington Post to be one of the funniest shows on television, and after the show came to an end back in 2021, Netflix subscribers are wondering if they can watch the complete series on the streaming service. Well, there's some good news! The series returned to Netflix beginning in February 2024, though half the series isn't included.

The comedy follows the exploits of the men and women who protect and serve out of the NYPD’s 99th precinct. Brooklyn Nine-Nine focuses on Detective Jake Peralta (played by Andy Samberg) and his quirky colleagues, who are as lovable as they are hilarious and will undoubtedly entertain anyone willing to go along for the ride with the zaniest misadventures.

There are eight seasons of the hit series, and each one has an incredibly stellar Rotten Tomatoes score. Aside from Saturday Night Live veteran Samberg, the cast includes Terry Crews, Stephanie Beatriz, Melissa Fumero, Chelsea Peretti, and the late Andre Braugher. Unfortunately, the eighth season was also the show’s last, as NBC confirmed the series is winding down (after previously being canceled by Fox). But will Netflix allow fans to watch it all over again?

The first four seasons are on Netflix

The hope of having Brooklyn Nine-Nine ready to stream on Netflix isn't a long shot anymore. The show made its return to the streaming service on Monday, Feb. 26, 2024 with seasons 1-4 available to watch so far. Netflix announced its imminent arrival on Jan 23. Fingers crossed the remaining four seasons will be added sometime soon!

Upon its return to Netflix, the fan-favorite comedy made its way into the top 10 as fans new and old binge-watched the first four seasons. Deadline reports that because of its boost from Netflix viewing, Brooklyn Nine-Nine ranked at No. 5 on the Nielsen's streaming charts between Feb. 19 to Feb. 25. The series acquired 847 million minutes viewed in that timeframe. While it's combined with its viewership on Peacock, the bump from Netflix is definitely apparent!

In addition to Brooklyn Nine-Nine, there are other great comedies available for Netflix viewers to check out, too. The Mindy Project, Blockbuster, Young Sheldon, The Good Place, Great News, Girls5eva, The Conners, and Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt are just some of the very funny and clever comedy series Netflix has within its existing library of content.

Where you can stream Brooklyn Nine-Nine

The complete series of Brooklyn Nine-Nine is still available for subscribers of Peacock. Additionally, the show is watchable on most video on demand (VOD) platforms, including Google Play, Apple TV, Vudu, and more — so there are plenty of places to check it out beyond Netflix.

The comedy had previously been available to stream on Hulu, per the streamer’s deal with NBC, but on Sept. 18, 2022, Brooklyn Nine-Nine left the Disney-owned streamer. A handful of other NBCUniversal-produced series also be bid Hulu farewell, as the company looks to stock up its own streamer, Peacock, will exclusive content.
