Enola Holmes 2 starring Millie Bobby Brown (finally!) gets release date

Ever since Netflix film Enola Holmes was first released on the streamer in September 2020, fans were definitely eager to get more of the young super-sleuth’s story! When we got the amazing news that a sequel would be coming, fans of the Millie Bobby Brown-led movie have been impatiently waiting for release date news. And now we have it!

In Enola Holmes 2, Brown herself takes on executive producer duties alongside Joshua Grode, Michael Dreyer, Paige Brown, Jane Houston, Harry Bradbeer and Jack Thorne. The story is written by Thorne and Bradbeer.

Henry Cavill portrays the famous author Sherlock Holmes once again, with Louis Partridge reprising his role as Tewkesbury. More familiar faces include Helena Bonham Carter as Eudoria Holmes, Susan Wokoma as Edith, and Adeel Akhtar as Inspector Lestrade. New cast members are David Thewlis and Sharon Duncan-Brewster.

We first meet the young teen as she goes on an action-packed adventure through Victorian England to look for her mother, who disappeared. The smart, light-hearted Enola is able to outwit her famous brother as she unravels a conspiracy. The world’s greatest detective faced his fiercest competition – his sister. And in Enola Holmes 2, that’s definitely still the case!

Enola Holmes 2 release date

Enola Holmes 2 is coming our way on Friday, November 4! It’s a little later than we’d hoped for. Production on the film wrapped all the way back in January. We previously predicted September 2022 release date as that would be a year since the first film premiered. But, it’s only an extra month. I guess if we’ve waited this long, we can wait just a bit longer.

What is Enola Holmes 2 about?

So here comes Sherlock Holmes’ fiercest competitor, now a detective-for-hire just like her infamous brother! Enola will take on her first official case to find a missing girl, which sparks a dangerous conspiracy that ignites a mystery. It will require the help of friends, and Sherlock himself, to unravel.

According to Entertainment Weekly, much of the film will center around the “taut family relationship” between Enola and Sherlock. The two find themselves clashing, especially when their individual cases overlap.

Enola Holmes 2 premieres Friday, Nov. 4 on Netflix.
