Netflix shows that could be canceled and renewed

Netflix just renewed Ginny and Georgia for season 2 in mid-April 2021. With that renewal news, it means Netflix still hasn’t canceled a show in 2021 so far. And, it means a fan-favorite series is coming back for another season, which is something all fans can agree is a good thing.

We never like to see Netflix cancel shows, and that’s because, even if it has poor ratings, some fans will be disappointed. Unfortunately, that’s kind of the nature of the TV industry, though. Shows have to get canceled to free up more money to make new shows, and the cycle continues.

So, we put together a list of Netflix shows that could be canceled in the very near future. We also picked a few shows that, while not renewed yet, should have nothing to worry about moving forward.

There are a few reports and rumors that Netflix has already renewed The Irregulars and Shadow and Bone for another season, so you won’t see those titles on this list.

Let’s get the list started one of the Netflix shows that could be canceled soon, Grand Army.

Is Grand Army canceled?

What we’re expecting: Canceled

Netflix has not announced a decision on Grand Army yet, so it’s unclear to fans if the series is coming back for season 2 or not. I think this show might be in trouble for a few reasons.

Mainly, Grand Army premiered on Netflix in October 2020, and we still haven’t heard if the series is coming back for another season. That’s not a good sign.

On top of that, the series wasn’t wildly popular on Netflix. Some fans enjoyed the series, while others clearly did not. That’s also not a good sign. Netflix wants to make hits. Did Grand Army rise to the level of viewership and engagement that Netflix is looking for? We’ll have to wait and see.

It’s interesting that Grand Army hasn’t been officially canceled yet, if that’s the route Netflix chooses to go. The series does have a huge cast with tons of people interacting on screen, so we know that a show like this wouldn’t be able to start production until it’s safe to do so without drastically changing. So, maybe that’s what Netflix is waiting for?

My guess is that Grand Army will be canceled, but we’ll just have to wait and see.
