Is there going to be a season 2 of The Irregulars?

Will Netflix renew The Irregulars for season 2? Maybe it’s already been confirmed.

We start with some slightly positive news. Before the first season premiered, What’s On Netflix reported that season 2 is happening. Netflix hasn’t officially confirmed this right now, but it looks like the pre-production work has already started with plans to start filming in Liverpool, England in the summer.

There’s no reason to think What’s On Netflix is wrong. The site isn’t known for spreading false rumors. It’s not like Netflix hasn’t quietly renewed shows before. Bridgerton and Cobra Kai come to mind.

When will Netflix confirm everything? We’re looking at some time within the next couple of months. Considering the praise for the series, it’s possible that Netflix will confirm things before April finishes.

When will The Irregulars season 2 happen?

With thoughts that the season is happening, it’s time to look at when it will arrive on Netflix. Don’t expect The Irregulars season 2 in 2021.

If filming does start in the summer, we’re looking at summer 2022 as a release date at the very earliest. Even with an eight-episode series, it can take 12 to 14 months to get through filming and post-production. In fact, post-production on a show like this one takes longer because there is so much in the way of visual effects.

Like the first season, it’s sure to be worth the wait. This is one of those shows that brought us an excellent cast with writing that was on-point. And, of course, there was some great development of each of the characters.
