Will there be a second season of Dash and Lily?

Like Grand Army, Dash and Lily was also filmed in New York City and arrived on Netflix in the fall of 2020. We’ve been waiting about the same amount of time to find out if Dash and Lily season 2 is happening or not.

Unlike Grand Army, Dash and Lily was quite popular. There’s no debate that it was one of the most popular Netflix shows or movies during the 2020 holiday season.

While I’m not sure we need a season 2 of Dash and Lily, I do think that it will happen eventually. There are a few reasons fans can expect a renewal.

First of all, it was very popular, as mentioned, but it’s also based on a book series by Rachel Cohn and David Levithan. There are two more books in the series, so this story is really just getting started.

There’s no rush for Netflix to renew the series yet, so maybe the network is just taking its time and waiting for scripts to be developed or something. We don’t know that. But, we do know that Dash and Lily was filmed on location in New York.

It’s really challenging with the pandemic to film anywhere right now. It’s even more difficult to make spring or summer in New York look like winter, although yes, I am aware they can accomplish anything with TV and movie magic these days.

So, for those reasons, I think Dash and Lily season 2 is going to happen, but it probably won’t be released until the holiday season of 2022. That’s my best guess.
