Stranger Things spinoff rumors: Is an Eleven spinoff happening?

Is there an Eleven spinoff of Stranger Things in the works at Netflix? There are tons of Stranger Things rumors online suggesting that will be the case.

Stranger Things season 4 is currently in production, and we’re very hopeful that the new season will be added to Netflix later this year.

Last year, we learned that Stranger Things season 4 will not be the final season of the Netflix original series and that season 5 is likely already happening, although Netflix has not announced the official renewal yet.

But, what about this Eleven rumor? Is the character really getting a spinoff?

Is Netflix making a Stranger Things spinoff about Eleven?

It’s hard to find where this rumor about a Stranger Things spinoff started. It looks like Sausage Roll was the first to report the rumor, and because it hasn’t been confirmed by any major outlets or Netflix, it’s hard to say if the Stranger Things spinoff about Eleven is true.

According to the rumor, Millie Bobby Brown would stick around for the spinoff, which would focus on Eleven.

I mean, on the surface, it seems like an Eleven spinoff could happen at Netflix. I don’t know what’s in store for the end of Stranger Things, but it’s definitely possible that this story could split and characters go separate ways, permanently.

It also makes sense from a business perspective for Netflix. Fans love this series, which makes it super marketable. There are so many big marketing deals that come from Stranger Things. There’s no doubt it’s Netflix’s biggest moneymaker.

With that said, I do have some doubts about this spinoff news. Would Millie Bobby Brown want to continue in this world when there’s so much out there? Brown is already starring in blockbuster movie franchises. It would make sense for Brown, and the rest of the Stranger Things cast, to move on to other things.

I also think Netflix might prefer to end Eleven’s story with whatever happens at the end of Stranger Things. This series is about her as much as or more than any other character. It doesn’t quite make sense to wrap up this series and then continue Eleven’s story in another series. It’s risky to do that.

Even if this Eleven spinoff doesn’t happen, we should expect to see other Stranger Things spinoffs. The history is too rich and there’s too much potential for this world to end it with a few more seasons. What happens to Hawkins in the future? What happened in Hawkins to make this all happen in the first place? All that and more could be explored, as well.
