When Beauty in Black season 3 comes out (and how many episodes there are)

The wait for the return of Netflix's juiciest drama series is nearly over. Tyler Perry's soapy Netflix original series Beauty in Black makes its highly anticipated comeback with season 3, just a few months after the conclusion of the second season this spring.

We nearly didn't get quite this lucky when it comes to Beauty in Black season 3 as the fan-favorite drama wasn't originally anticipated to return until sometime in 2027. Thankfully for fans, Netflix changed course with the series in a couple ways that worked in our benefit.

Not only does season 3 drop much sooner than we expected, but the streaming service also renewed the series for season 4 rather than ending with season 3. That's right, Beauty in Black was originally supposed to end with season 3, but we have another season to look forward to.

Beauty in Black season 3 releases on Thursday, Aug. 27, 2026 on Netflix. Like the vast majority of Netflix original series, the latest season of the Tyler Perry drama begins streaming at 3 a.m. ET, which is midnight PT. That's a bit late (or early) to begin your binge-watch, but there's no doubt that some of the show's most devoted viewers will start watching as soon as possible.

Depending on where you live, Beauty in Black season 3 drops a different times according to time zones, though 3 a.m. ET / 12 a.m. PT is the standard release time. How many episodes are in Beauty in Black season 3?

Because of how Netflix has opted to release Beauty in Black in the past, there might still be some confusion on exactly what's in store with season. The past two seasons have each contained 16 total episodes but have been released split into two parts.

This time around, Netflix has done away with the part releases, opting not to call this Beauty in Black part 5 and instead streamlining the release pattern with a simple "season 3." But there aren't 16 episode in this release. There are only eight episodes coming out on Aug. 27.

Additionally, there isn't a second half of season 3 coming later this year with eight more episodes. Rather, Beauty in Black season 4 will likely make its premiere sometime in 2027, though Netflix hasn't shared plans for that season's episode count, but we can guarantee at least eight episodes.
