In 2026 in particular, it's been a great year for new Harlan Coben shows. The year kicked off with Run Away, and the title of that mystery thriller seemed to manifest the runaway success of Coben's summer smash I Will Find You. The limited series has quickly become one of Netflix's most popular shows of all time, which is paving the way for the upcoming series Myron Bolitar.
Based on Coben's series of books, Myron Bolitar stars Pulse actor Colin Woodell in the titular role, with additional main cast members KJ Apa, Diane Guerrero, Chloe Fineman, Jabari Banks, Jamie McShane, and Ra'Mya Latiah Aikens. There are even more familiar faces in the cast of the series from creator David E. Kelley, and we'll see them very soon since we now know when filming wraps.
Myron Bolitar wraps filming in one month
The series, which isn't intended to be a limited series but an ongoing show, began filming this summer and has been rumored to wrap this fall. Apa recently provided an update on the show's production in New York City and New Jersey, giving fans a behind-the-scenes look at the upcoming sports thriller. Now, the show's costume designer Lily Parkinson revealed there's one month left of filming.
Parkinson shared a black and white photo of a basketball court being used during filming and wrote in the caption, "One month left of Myron Bolitar." There haven't been any other updates from the show's stars, creative team, or even Coben himself revealing when filming will wrap, but there will surely be an official announcement made, likely by Netflix, when cameras have stopped rolling.
What's on Netflix reported that filming was on track to wrap in early October, which would have been ahead of the previously scheduled November wrap date. However, the costumer designer's post appears to suggest that Myron Bolitar will in fact finish filming sometime in November after all. No matter when filming wraps, the series will ultimately arrive on our watch lists sometime next year.
It's going to be one of the most highly anticipated new Netflix shows coming in 2027 based purely on the fact that it's from Harlan Coben but also because of the killer cast. On top of the series regulars, the show also boasts recurring stars like Ben McKenzie, Melissa Benoist, Griffin Dunne, Bebe Neuwirth, Amanda Warren, and more. It's also Coben's first non-miniseries.
Myron Bolitar could likely take the summer slot that was filled by I Will Find You in 2026, but Netflix will kick off 2027 with Coben's other upcoming new series, the English-language remake of The Woods. While we expected that series to debut on New Year's Day, as has been a Coben tradition on Netflix, we might be waiting a bit longer for the series to hit our watch lists early next year.
Between both upcoming Coben Netflix shows wrapping filming and preparing for release sometime in 2027, we'll be sharing all the latest news and updates. Stay tuned for more details when Myron Bolitar wraps filming and gets the exciting release updates fans are waiting for!
