KJ Apa shared an update and a look behind the scenes of Harlan Coben's next Netflix original series, Myron Bolitar.

On Oct. 11, 2026, Apa, the former Riverdale star, shared a few photos on Instagram from the set of Myron Bolitar of himself and series star Colin Woodell, who plays the titular character in the series. Apa captioned the drop, "Filming of MYRON BOLITAR has commenced. Colin and I are getting on smoothly @netflix."

This is the first time Apa has shared any news or behind-the-scenes pics from set. Production on Myron Bolitar started in mid-July, according to production listings. Filming was supposed to continue through early November, and that might still be the case, but What's on Netflix recently reported that the cast and crew were on track to wrap filming on David E. Kelley's new series based on Coben's most well-known character on Oct. 10. That was one day before Apa posted the update that he started filming.

We haven't seen any other stars or outlets confirming filming actually wrapped on Myron Bolitar yet, but we know many fans will be excited to learn that information. Based on What's on Netflix's report and Apa's photo dump on Instagram, I'm assuming that production is nearing its end or has already wrapped, but Netflix Life was unable to confirm the end of filming prior to publishing.

Why everyone is excited for Myron Bolitar

Coben remains a hot commodity for Netflix viewers. His last series, I Will Find You, which premiered in June, recently became the fifth-biggest release in Netflix history, racking up more than 120 million views in its first three months. After the success of Coben's last Netflix original series, I Will Find You, all eyes are on Myron Bolitar and Coben's other upcoming series, The Woods starring Michelle Keegan and Tom Bateman.

While The Woods continues filming in the UK, there's a good chance that we'll see Myron Bolitar starring Woodell, Apa, Diana Guerrero, Jabari Banks, and Chloe Fineman sometime in early 2027. We don't know the release date yet, but there's a chance it could be the big New Year's Day release.

All of that aside, Myron Bolitar is the series that Coben fans have been waiting for years to see brought to life on TV. There are more than a dozen Netflix shows based on Coben's books, but Myron Bolitar has the potential to be bigger than any of those Netflix shows to date, including I Will Find You.

Myron Bolitar will tell the story of a former professional athlete who becomes a sports agent and helps his clients navigate the ups, downs, and issues associated with being a professional athlete and the baggage that comes along with it. Woodell plays Myron, while Apa plays his friend and confidante, Win.

Other than the outstanding cast and creative team, we don't know much more about Myron Bolitar, but we're hoping to learn more as we close out 2026.

We'll share more updates about Myron Bolitar, The Woods, and all of Coben's upcoming Netflix projects. In the meantime, you should also check out Coben's two latest Netflix mysteries, I Will Find You and Run Away. Both were released on Netflix earlier this year.
