The Way Home final season finally coming to Netflix months after series finale

After a long, hot summer, we have officially arrived at the coziest time of the year as temperatures begin to cool off and the best new releases hit our watch lists. There are still so many great Netflix shows still to come before the end of the year, and in addition to the streamer's highly anticipated original content, there are plenty of other worthy binge-watches.

Luckily for Hallmark Channel fans, there's more to enjoy from the cable network beyond its upcoming output of romantic movies. Netflix will be dropping not one but two Hallmark original series this fall, beginning with the When Calls the Heart spinoff When Hope Calls in September and continuing with the highly anticipated arrival of the final season of beloved hit The Way Home the following month.

The Way Home season 4 begins streaming on Netflix in October

Currently, there are three seasons of the fantasy drama series The Way Home available to stream on Netflix in the United States, but four months after the series finale aired on the Hallmark Channel, the final season is finally making its way to Netflix. The fourth and final season drops on Netflix in the US on Thursday, Oct. 1, 2026 for fans to rewatch or possibly even catch for the first time.

The Way Home season 4 began airing on Hallmark back in April 2026, and following its 10-episode run, the series came to an end in June. Across its four seasons on the network, the series gained a cult following of devoted fans who didn't want to see the series end with only four seasons. But the series was able to conclude with resolution rather than ending on a cliffhanger.

Back in January 2023, The Way Home made its premiere and carved out a niche for itself on the Hallmark Channel. In the series, three generations of Landry women—played by Chyler Leigh, Sadie Laflamme-Snow, and Andie MacDowell—learn about their family's past and secrets as time travel helps them become closer together in unexpected and heartwarming ways.

Each season of the series contains 10 episodes, making for a 40-episode total series that's more than worth the watch if you have never watched before. On top of the fantastical and supernatural element of time travel, The Way Home also has plenty of romance and family drama to keep you on the edge of your secret from episode to episode and season to season.

What's more, if you just binge-watched the new Netflix teen sports drama Crew Girl, you should definitely tune into The Way Home when the final season arrives on Oct. 1. The series includes a recurring role from Crew Girl star Samuel Braun, who plays a teenager from 1999 in the Hallmark drama (and a present-day teenager in the latest Netflix hit).

It's the perfect time of the year to watch The Way Home from the beginning and relive the complete series from start to finish. Thanks to Netflix, doing so is easier than ever.
