Full list of Netflix shows confirmed for release in 2026

There's not denying that 2025 might be one of the biggest years in recent memory for Netflix shows. Throughout the year, the streaming service released new seasons of smash-hit series like The Night Agent, Ginny & Georgia, Squid Game, Wednesday, Nobody Wants This, and Stranger Things, which was the true marquee release of the entire year overall.

But just because 2025 was a massive year for Netflix shows returning with new seasons, as well as new Netflix shows winning us over big time, don't expect 2026 to be a ghost town. There are still so many exciting original series set to return with new seasons throughout the year, and the streamer also has what will surely be a long list of our next favorite binge-watches locked and loaded.

While we're going to be saying goodbye just as the calendar turns from 2025 to 2026, the new year brings the phenomenon's first spinoff series. The animated offshoot Stranger Things: Tales of '85 is set to debut in 2026 and get us back to Hawkins as soon as possible. 2026 promises new seasons of Virgin River, The Hunting Wives, Running Point, and more fan-favorite series.

New Netflix shows premiering in 2026

Before the new year arrives, Netflix already announced a few release dates for shows coming in the first few months of 2026. Bridgerton season 4 will be released in two parts across January and February, while the upcoming drama series His & Hers arrives in January. The year kicks off once again with a new limited series for Harlan Coben, and there's even more to come from the thriller king.

So far, there are only a few Netflix shows with release dates in 2026, including the revamped version of Star Search and the highly anticipated second season of One Piece.
