When Calls the Heart has been a very special fan-favorite series on the Hallmark Channel since its premiere back in 2014. The series, which is based on the book by Janette Oke, stole the hearts of millions of Hearties and remains the cable network's biggest original series. Going into season 14, fans still can't get enough of the heartfelt stories coming out of Hope Valley.
But as the series has grown after 100-plus episodes, so has the world of When Calls the Heart. The popular show has spawned two spinoff series, When Hope Calls and Hope Valley: 1874. Both have been on the trickier side to stream online for most fans, but one will finally make its way to Netflix in the United States for the very first time this fall.
When Hope Calls coming to Netflix in September 2026
That's right, the very first When Calls the Heart spinoff series When Hope Calls will begin streaming on Netflix US on Monday, Sept. 14, 2026. While there are currently three seasons of the series, it's unclear how many will be included in the Netflix drop. Just the first two could arrive this fall with the third arriving later or all three could drop at once. Keep your fingers crossed for the latter!
When Hope Calls was introduced in the 2018 When Calls the Heart Christmas special as orphaned and separated sisters Lillian Walsh (Morgan Kohan) and Grace Bennett (Jocelyn Hudon) reunite and team up on a new orphanage in Brookfield. The period drama tackles a lot of the same themes as its sire series, such as faith, family, romance, and the difficulties of the time period.
When Hope Calls makes its Netflix debut in the United States, but the series isn't expected to be released in other regions around the world just yet. Historically, certain shows are added to additional Netflix regions eventually, but it's unconfirmed whether that's the case for the When Calls the Heart spinoff at this time. You never know what the future could hold in the streaming world.
Since its debut in 2019, When Hope Calls has had quite the bumpy road. The spinoff premiered as the first original series on the Hallmark Channel's streaming platform, then known as Hallmark Movies Now and now known has Hallmark+. Two years later, in 2021, the series was renewed and moved to Great American Family, beginning with a two-part Christmas special.
Following the airing of the show's holiday comeback in December 2025, the second season didn't officially kick off until April 2025 with six additional episodes. Once again, When Hope Calls continued with its six-episode third season in April 2026. The series streams on Pureflix and airs on Great American Family, making this the show's first leap to a major streaming service.
Now dubbed When Hope Calls: Brookfield, the series has officially been picked up for a fourth season by Great American Family and has been confirmed to return in spring 2027. Before the next new season arrives, it's time for fans new and old to discover the beloved spinoff when it begins streaming on Netflix on Sept. 14. Make sure to set your reminders now!
