4 unmissable teen Netflix shows to watch after Crew Girl

Crew Girl premiered on Netflix on Sept. 10 as the perfect bridge between summer and fall, a comforting and cozy binge-watch to ease into a new season. It's exactly the kind of teen drama escape we needed after a particularly busy summer on Netflix.

In Crew Girl, Teagan Tao (Miku Martineau) rides high on her successful high school rowing career until an unfortunate scandal at the hands of her father sends her and her mother retreating across the country. Now at an intimidating prep school, Teagan works her way onto the boys' crew team as the only girl and the new coxswain that needs to whip the group into shape.

From the exciting rowing sequences to the swoon-worthy love triangle between Teagan and her teammates Josh (Samuel Braun) and Cam (Kyle Clark) to the relatable family storylines, Crew Girl offers everything teen TV fans crave. But what should you watch after finishing the series?

Bet

The most natural Netflix show to watch next after Crew Girl is the teen mystery drama Bet, first and foremost because it also stars Miku Martineau. She made her Netflix debut in 2021 in the action thriller movie Kate and followed up in 2024 with her first leading role in a television series with Bet.

From Warrior Nun creator Simon Barry and based on the Japanese manga series Kakegurui – Compulsive Gambler by Homura Kawamoto and Tōru Naomura, Bet follows Yumeko (Martineau) as she raises the stakes at St. Dominic's Prep and challenges the school's secret gambling ring.

It's a much darker show than Crew Girl in terms of tone and themes, as Bet finds Yumeko infiltrating the gambling group to uncover the truth of her parents' murder. But it's a gripping 10-episode binge with a bit of romance and a lot of twists. Plus, season 2 wrapped filming and is coming in 2027.

Finding Her Edge

Despite being one of the most popular subgenre of romantic television right now, Netflix doesn't currently have a lot of teen sports dramas beyond Crew Girl. But if you're craving another one, the streamer also boasts the fan-favorite ice skating drama Finding Her Edge.

Based on the book of the same title by Jennifer Iacopelli, Finding Her Edge centers on the high-stakes life of teenage competitive ice skater Adriana Russo (Madelyn Keys). She's caught between her new and former partners on the ice, resulting in an icy (get it?) love triangle.

Like Crew Girl, Finding Her Edge isn't particularly edgy and keeps things pretty tame and appropriate for most ages. Again, there's sports and romance, the combination that has proven to be what we all want. Thankfully, the second season is currently filming to drop next year.

My Life with the Walter Boys

If the love triangle trope is what drew you into Crew Girl, Netflix has exactly what you're looking for. Honestly, it's unlikely that any fans of teen television have yet started watching My Life with the Walter Boys and become completely obsessed, but you never know. There's always some stragglers.

Even if you have watched My Life with the Walter Boys, there's no doubt you have at least heard of it as a Netflix subscriber. It's one of the streamer's biggest shows at the moment and one that fans can't seem to stop talking about. Yes, it's that addictive and full of great stories.

My Life with the Walter Boys just released its third season, which further complicated the love triangle between Jackie (Nikki Rodriguez) and brothers Cole (Noah LaLonde) and Alex (Ashby Gentry). The cast is already hard at work filming the fourth season, which will be back next year.
