This week's Netflix highlights: Cobra Kai and 4 new releases to watch (July 15-19)

While you might still be working through last week's Netflix new releases, which includes Vikings: Valhalla season 3, Exploding Kittens, The Long Game, Vanished into the Night, and more of the latest popular movies and shows in the top 10, there's a whole new week of fresh content. One fan-favorite Netflix original series ended last week, and another begins its final season this week.
That's right, it's the beginning of the end for Cobra Kai, which kicks off the first part of its three-part sixth and final season. Beyond the bittersweet return of Cobra Kai, Netflix also releases another lovable romantic comedy featuring a major star, and on the unscripted front, viewers have a new season of a hot reality dating show and a docuseries featuring a gold medalist gymnast.

Cobra Kai's ending begins
If you can believe it, it's almost time to say goodbye to Cobra Kai. The final season begins airing on Thursday, July 18 with the first part of five episodes. Netflix will release season 6 in three parts, which are five episodes each. For those wondering, part 2 drops in November and part 3 will bring the show to a close sometime in 2025. The end is still a ways away, so savor season 6 part 1 and all the hilarious, heartwarming, and dramatic moments with our favorite characters as they embark on their next karate adventure: the World Championships!
Harry Connick Jr. falls in love in Find Me Falling
On the heels of popular Netflix original romantic comedies Mother of the Bride and A Family Affair, the streamer keeps the rom-com ball rolling with the Harry Connick Jr. movie Find Me Falling. In the film, Connick plays a struggling musician who retreats to a peaceful location for a personal and professional reset. However, you know what happens when you make plans. Suddenly, he's reunited with a former flame, and we can almost guarantee we'll find them falling again. Don't miss another charming rom-com from Netflix when the streamer's latest premieres on Friday.
Simone Biles rises in Rising docuseries
One of the most famous and decorated American athletes is coming to Netflix with her very own documentary series. The four-episode docuseries Simone Biles: Rising follows the gold medal-winning gymnast in the aftermath of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and her struggles with mental health. Rising tracks the inspirational athlete as she faces her struggles and works hard to get back on the mat and show the world what she does best. The docuseries makes its premiere on Wednesday, July 17 and it's not to be missed!
Too Hot to Handle season 6 has a twist
This week, Too Hot to Handle also returns with its sixth season, and Netflix has been teasing and promising one of the most exciting seasons yet. The new season will introduce a new identity for Lana, known as Bad Lana, who has been said to be quite the pot stirrer. Netflix also alludes to some familiar faces popping in to cause some chaos along with Bad Lana. It's going to be quite the season to remember, full of drama and unexpected twists! Be sure not to miss a minute of the action when season 6 kicks off with its first batch of episodes on July 19.
