5 Netflix reality shows that will be your next perfect match

The summer is the perfect time to start a new reality show on Netflix. After Perfect Match season 2 just came to an end, it's time to find a new dating or competition show to watch on Netflix.

Luckily, it's not 2019 anymore. Netflix has a lot of variety when it comes to reality shows now! And, in 2024 and beyond, it looks like Netflix is only going to increase the number of its unscripted and dating series. I call that a win!

We shared a list of five Netflix reality shows you need to watch on Netflix after Perfect Match season 2! We'll get things started with Too Hot to Handle.

Too Hot to Handle 

Too Hot to Handle is the closest thing to Perfect Match. Many of the stars of Perfect Match got their start on Too Hot to Handle. It’s an overwhelming number compared to any other Netflix reality show! And, that’s by design. In casting, it’s clear that Too Hot to Handle stars are typically well-known influencers before they make it on the show. That’s not true of most Netflix reality shows, like Love is Blind and others. 

In Too Hot to Handle, a group of people are doing typical dating show things, but they’re also in an experiment of sorts. The more romantic and sexual contact they have with their dates, the smaller the winning pot of money becomes. They must work together to leave with anything at the end of the show. 

There are five seasons of Too Hot to Handle streaming on Netflix right now. Too Hot to Handle season 6 premieres on Netflix on July 19, 2024! 

Love is Blind 

Love is Blind is the most popular Netflix reality series of all time. It’s only getting started, too! We’ve seen six seasons of Love is Blind, and the series has more US seasons planned. We’ve already seen a number of international versions of Love is Blind, too. 

In the series, contestants date each other in pods where they can hear but can’t see each other. To leave the pods and continue, contestants get engaged and then finally come face-to-face with their new partner. Then, they go on a trip and live together for a few weeks before deciding if they’re going to stay married or break up. 

Overall, Love is Blind has a pretty good track record for producing couples. Not every couple who gets engaged ends up getting married, not even close, but there have been several couples who have stayed together through the first six seasons of the hit reality series.

Love is Blind season 7 is coming soon! And, we have Love is Blind: UK, Love is Blind: Germany, and Love is Blind: Mexico in the works, too. 

Surviving Paradise 

Surviving Paradise is one of the most underrated Netflix reality shows. It’s not nearly as popular as Too Hot to Handle, Love is Blind, The Circle, or some of those, but it’s a solid premise! I think if you like many of the Netflix reality shows, Surviving Paradise is a solid choice for you. 

What appears to be a dating show like Love Island quickly turns into Survivor as 12 singles try to “survive paradise” with very little supplies and food. 

There is only one season of Surviving Paradise on Netflix right now. 

Single’s Inferno 

If you’re a fan of Korean shows, Single’s Inferno is the Netflix reality show for you! The series is kind of like Surviving Paradise and other reality shows, but it’s not quite as intense. In the series, contestants are looking for a romantic partner, but they’re cut off from the rest of society, living on an island, and competing in challenges to try to earn advantages, dates, and time together. 

Again, it’s pretty similar to other Netflix reality shows, so if you’re a fan. I really do think you’ll like Single’s Inferno. 

There are three seasons of Single’s Inferno on Netflix right now, and the fourth season is officially in the works! 

The Mole 

The Mole is a reboot of the popular reality series from the 2000s. Netflix rebooted the series in 2023, and the first season on the streamer was a big success.

In the game, a group of 12 contestants competes in challenges to earn money for the final pot that the winner will take home. The kicker is that one person – the Mole – is working against them all.

During gameplay, the contestants take quizzes about the Mole’s identity. The person who scores the lowest on the quiz goes home. 

The Mole season 2 premieres on Netflix on June 28!

You can't go wrong with those five Netflix reality shows! If it was me, I'd start with Love is Blind and work my way to the others.
