Perfect Match season 2 finale recap: You'll never guess who wins
By Bryce Olin
It's here! The 10th and final episode of Perfect Match season 2 is now streaming on Netflix, as of Friday, June 21, 2024.
The Perfect Match season 2 finale begins where the ninth episode left off. Jess and Harry continue their conversation about Harry’s behavior, what Melinda said, and what Harry said about the situation before Melinda even revealed what Harry said and did to her.
Jess breaks up with Harry
It’s a tough situation, but Jess ultimately decides that she’s going to leave Perfect Match alone. She tells Harry that she thinks he wants to be a certain type of person, but he’s not that person yet. So, Jess tells Harry that she won’t match with him.
This situation, the one Netflix teased with the episode 9 cliffhanger, is over before the finale really even begins, but we still don’t actually know what happens. And, that turns out to be by design. The producers withheld the footage from the audience until the moment they thought was the perfect time share it.
As it turns out, it’s probably for the best that Harry and Jess went their separate ways. Also, it makes sense why my dude was so sweaty the whole time.
Did Harry actually kiss Melinda?
Yeah, so that’s the thing. Yes, Harry does kiss Melinda, and he says everything that Melinda said that he said and did everything that Melinda said that he did. That’s the scariest part of all of this. Clearly, Harry was upset at himself for what he called “sabotaging” the relationship, but he lied about it the whole time! It was all on video. Did he think this wouldn’t eventually come to light? Maybe, it was just survive the day, but how dare he call Melinda a liar? That’s so shady!
It’s great that Jess trusted her instincts because Harry was adamant that Melinda was telling stories about him, which never made sense in the first place if I’m honest.
Harry does apologize for his actions during the pre-voting sequence of the finale, but it’s too little too late. The damage is definitely already done.
Micah and Kaz get back together
Throughout the season, Kaz and Micah have been off and on. Pretty much every day, there was a question of if they would stay together. When Christine is selected by Tolú and Chris to go on a date with Nigel, Kaz realizes that he made a mistake with Christine. He goes back to Micah just in time for the final vote,, which opens the door for Christine and Nigel to match, which they do.
During the final match, there were six couples eligible to win Perfect Match season 2:
- Stevan and Alara
- Elys and Bryton
- Tolú and Chris
- Kaz and Micah
- Christine and Nigel
- Jessica and Izzy
Jessica and Izzy do leave in the morning before the voting begins and do not go on final dates.
Who wins Perfect Match season 2?
Christine and Nigel, who have been coupled up for ONE DAY, win Perfect Match season 2. If you don’t know who Christine and Nigel are, you’re not alone! They’ve only been a handful of episodes of the season. For the most part, they were not one of the couples that I even considered as possible winners for the season. In my defense, they weren’t even together during the final challenge. Christine was with Kaz, but Tolú and Chris picked Christine and Nigel to go on a date in the final Boardroom with Nick Lachey.
I thought that Stevan and Alara, who have been together since basically the beginning of the season, seemed like the clear favorites. Somehow, they didn’t win!
One couple from Perfect Match season 2 is still together, according to Chris
During the finale, several couples leave Perfect Match season 2 together. We’ve been watching these reality shows for a long time. We know they don’t all stay together after filming ends. In most cases, most of the couples don’t even stay together.
While we can’t say for sure, it appears that only one couple is still together from Perfect Match season 2. According to a report from Marie Claire, Chris said on a live stream that one couple is still together from Perfect Match season 2, but we still don’t know who that is yet.
We’ll likely find out who is still together in the coming days. If I were to bet, I’d put my money on Stevan and Alara. They clearly seem to be the couple who was the most into each other on the show. Did things stay that way after filming? We’ll have to wait and see!
So, that’s a wrap on Perfect Match season 2! I think it's safe to say that was a weird season, but we're still watching! Now, we’re just waiting for Perfect Match season 3.
