Love Is Blind season 6 AND 7 are officially on the way: Here’s everything we know so far

Netflix’s successful dating series Love Is Blind has been renewed for two more seasons! The news shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise considering how popular the unscripted show has been over the years, launching multiple versions in different countries and garnering millions of views each season.

Love Is Blind is on the move yet again as the sixth season filmed in Charlotte, North Carolina. Season 5 was filmed in Houston, Texas while previous seasons have filmed in Washington, Illinois, and Georgia.

Netflix has not confirmed where season 7 will film, but previous reports indicated that Kinetic Content, the production company behind the show, was casting in Denver, Phoenix, Nashville, Minneapolis and St. Paul, so there is a good chance one of those cities will be at the focal point of the seventh season. There have also been unsubstantiated rumors circulating on social media that Love Is Blind might have been filmed a future season in Washington DC.

Love Is Blind returns in time for Valentine’s Day 2024

Fittingly, Love Is Blind season 6 will premiere on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 2024. If Netflix follows the pattern set by previous seasons, then we can probably anticipate season 7 sometime in the fall of next year. Nick and Vanessa Lachey will return to host.

Premiering in 2020, Love Is Blind has become one of Netflix’s most popular reality series, with each season having ranked in Netflix’s global Top 10. Love Is Blind season 5 spent five consecutive weeks on Netflix’s global Top 10 list for English-language TV series, reaching the Top 10 in 49 countries after its premiere.

That’s particularly impressive when you remember that the fifth season had the fewest couples get engaged (only three stories were shown on camera and, ultimately, only two couples actually made it to the altar). But there was plenty of drama to make up for it.

Apart from the double-renewal announcement, Netflix also released a date announcement video showing the Lacheys “working” on the pods for the season.

The Perfect Match season 2 of it all

There have been rumors that some contestants from Love Is Blind season 6 were cast on Perfect Match season 2, which isn’t hard to believe considering the rumors that Izzy from season 5 has also landed on the other Netflix reality show.

The reason people think these rumors are true is because there was a day when several rumored Perfect Match season 2 cast mates, like Micah and Irina from Love Is Blind season 4 and Izzy, all posted snapshots on their Instagram stories of what appeared to be the same location, seemingly indicating they were all filming at the same time and place.

Again, this is all still very much a rumor that has been circulating primarily on Reddit and X (formerly Twitter), so it’ll be interesting to see if it pans out. This Reddit thread in particular seems to have accurate information considering the comments are several months old yet were correct in saying that Love Is Blind season 6 will return in February 2024 and take place in Charlotte.

However, if it’s true that Love Is Blind season 6 contestants are indeed on Perfect Match season 2, then it seems like we won’t be getting new episodes of Perfect Match until the summer of 2024 at the earliest.

I don’t really understand why Netflix sits on its reality shows for so long. It must suck for the cast to have to sit on information regarding who they’re dating for such lengthy periods of time. Some of the threads I’ve seen floating online suggest they’re already filming for seasons 8 and 9, which, presumably, wouldn’t air until 2025! But I digress, I suppose they know what they’re signing up for by this point.
