Release Date: July 18

Cobra Kai fans, you have been patiently waiting for the release of the sixth and final season, and your patience has finally paid off. Netflix gets the final season celebration started on July 18 with Cobra Kai season 6 part 1. The first part will consist of five episodes, which isn't very many episodes. However, the season will consist of 15 episodes total, with five more dropping in November and the last five coming in 2025. It's going to be a bittersweet goodbye, so maybe it's a good thing that Netflix is spreading it out. Nevertheless, check out the beginning of Cobra Kai's end in July.

Release Date: July 25

Based on the short story collection of the same name by Giovanni Boccaccio, The Decameron premieres on Netflix this July and takes us on quite the journey. The dark period comedy takes place in 1384 as the Black Death forces nobles and their servants to seek refuge in a countryside villa. Between sex and drinking and surviving, the group faces the divisions of class as they all face the level playing field of a pandemic. Zosia Mamet, Saoirse-Monica Jackson, and Tony Hale are among the talented cast members making this new series a can't-miss in July.

Release Date: July 3

Eddie Murphy is back as his iconic Beverly Hills Cop character Axel Foley in the film trilogy's new sequel Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F, premiering exclusively on Netflix on July 3. The new movie comes 40 years after the original film's release in 1984 and 30 years after the third film's release in 1994. In Axel F, the titular character returns to Beverly Hills to team up with his daughter Jane (Taylour Paige), her ex-boyfriend (Joseph Gordon-Levitt), and some old friends on a new case. If you're a fan of the Beverly Hills Cop trilogy, the new sequel is a must-watch on 4th of July weekend.

Find Me Falling

Release Date: July 19

All year, Netflix has been keeping us steadily supplied with new romantic comedies. Irish Wish, Mother of the Bride, A Family Affair, and so many more have been huge hits for the streamer. Thankfully, the romance and the comedy isn't slowing down in July with Harry Connick Jr.'s rom-com Find Me Falling on July 19. Connick stars as a struggling musician whose move to the countryside brings him an unexpected twist of fate. You can probably guess how the movie will end, but that doesn't make any less of a comforting watch for a summer movie night.

Those are just a few of the bigger highlights among the long list of new releases coming to Netflix throughout July 2024. Looking to duplicate the Suits success of last summer, the final season of the hit legal drama will arrive on Netflix at the top of July along with all six seasons of Lost. Meanwhile, Prison Break lands on the streamer toward the end of the month.

July also boasts the premiere of the sixth season of reality dating competition series Too Hot to Handle, the new adult animated comedy Exploding Kittens, and a brand new season of cooking competition series Barbecue Showdown.
