Love is Blind season 5 couples: Where are they now?

When Netflix entered the Reality TV world, it changed the game forever. Their biggest show, Love is Blind, shows couples from around the globe hoping to find love sight unseen. Season 5 proved to be one of the messiest seasons of the show yet. We look at the couples that got engaged and where they are now. 

Love is Blind season 5 saw plenty of drama that ended up causing so much uproar it almost outshined the show itself. You had 30 singles from Houston, Texas, enter the pods to find love. Each season prior saw us watch at least six couples get engaged, and we followed their stories to the altar. However, our singles from Houston didn't lock one another down, with us seeing only three onscreen couples. One couple we didn't see that got cut from the show was Renee Poche and Carter Wall. 

Lydia Gonzalez and Milton Johnson IV

We had plenty of drama when it came to cast member Lydia Gonzalez. It all started with her and Uche Okoroha, the story of their past, and how they ended up on the show together. Uche accused Lydia of stalking her and followed her onto the show, while Lydia denied it. The battle bled over to one of the most heated battles when all the cast members reunited. 

Regardless of Uche attempting to drive a wedge through Lydia and Milton, the two shared a strong connection that led to both of them saying "I do" at the altar. 

Where are they now?: As of this writing, the two have confirmed that they are still happily married. 

Stacy Synder and Izzy Zapata

Early in the pods, Izzy had made a connection with two women, one being Stacy and the other being Johnie Maraist. Ultimately, Izzy chose Stacy, and the two got engaged. The road between the two was rocky after they returned to reality inside Houston. Whether it was the viral moment of the "paper plates" or some perceived Stacy's high expectations, they never seemed to be on the same page. 

Heading into the wedding, Izzy and Stacy seemed poised to say "I do" at the altar, but the day of, Izzy said yes, but Stacy said no. Stacy cited dishonesty about his credit history as one of the most significant factors in her not saying yes. The two tried to spark things up post-show, but it never got off the ground. 

Where are they now?: Izzy Zapata is currently dating surgical assistant Shelby Webb. While Stacy Synder recently confirmed her relationship with Married at First Sight's Ryan Ignasiak. 

Taylor Rue and Jared Pierce 

Early in season 5, Taylor and Jared seemed quite smitten by each other in the pods. They moved fast on that spark, with Jared proposing to Taylor in episode 2, marking the first couple of the season. Sadly, nothing ever seemed right once the couple left the pods. 

Upon arriving in Mexico, the communication went to the waist side. When Taylor would confront him on his quietness, he still wouldn't open up to her. After finally pushing him to say what was on his mind, Jared stated that Taylor presented herself in a fake manner with all the makeup she wore in their first meeting. This led to a massive back and forth between the couple, and Taylor broke things off before they even left Mexico. 

Where are they now?: Since the breakup, Jared went public with his girlfriend, Ellen Hense. And Taylor has found her man in Cameron Shelton.
