Andrew Scott and Paul Mescal are devastating in All of Us Strangers: Where to watch since it’s not on Netflix
Now that the holiday season is over, cinephiles across the globe are trying to get in all of their movie-watching before the big award shows take place. The 81st Golden Globe Awards are being held this Sunday, Jan. 7, 2024, and it's bound to be an exciting show. I know I probably say this every year, but 2023 was truly an incredible year for cinema! And a handful of awards-buzz movies are either still playing in theaters or are just coming out this month. There are always so many movies to keep up with this time of year!
While you can currently stream some of the big hitters this award season like Oppenheimer and Barbie, others are more difficult to track down. All of Us Strangers, for example, premiered in the U.S. with a limited theatrical release on Dec. 22, 2023, and won't come to theaters in the U.K. until Jan. 26, 2024. So not only is the movie not available to watch on streamers like Netflix right now, but not everyone can even watch it in theaters currently, either.

Want to keep checking to see if the movie comes to a theater near you in the future? Head to the movie's page on Fandango and input your zip code. The ticket site will pull up the closest theaters playing the new drama. Fingers crossed All of Us Strangers will have a wide release soon. So many people across the country want to see it!
Once All of Us Strangers is done with its theatrical run, it should head to streaming. The movie was distributed by Searchlight Pictures, which typically releases its movies to Hulu. We've seen it in 2023 with movies like Rye Lane and Theater Camp which were added to Hulu after their premieres. Since All of Us Strangers just debuted in select theaters in late December, however, we wouldn't count on it going to streaming anytime soon.
All of Us Strangers follows the story of Adam (Andrew Scott), a lonely screenwriter living in London who begins writing about his late parents who died in a car accident when he was just a kid. As he looks back into his past through family photos and frequent visits to his family's old home, he also sparks a romance with his neighbor Harry (Paul Mescal). His relationship starts to blossom but he's also confronted by the memories — and trauma — of his childhood that aren't so easy to navigate. Adam deals with themes of identity, acceptance, love, and loss while reliving some of his best and worst moments with his parents.
I was lucky enough to have seen All of Us Strangers in theaters and it's absolutely beautiful. As well as very upsetting. Of course, I won't get into any spoilers here, but you've been warned! If you're an easy crier like I am, you're going to need tissues to watch this one. Scott and Mescal give breathtaking performances, and it's awesome to see that Scott is nominated for a Golden Globe for his portrayal of Adam. I hope he gets an Oscar nom as well.
