Netflix has a couple new shows from Harlan Coben in the works, but the newest one is going to feel a lot different than I Will Find You and the rest.
Recently, Netflix announced a new podcast series hosted by Coben is in the works and will be unveiled later this year, according to a press release from the streaming network.
We don't know exactly what Coben and Netflix have in the works, but it will be Coben's first podcast. Based on Coben's statement, which was included in the press release, Coben will be hosting the podcast and interviewing, well, everyone. It's definitely a change of pace for Coben, who has been doing most of his work behind the scenes as an author or behind the camera as a writer and producer.
Here's the full statement from Coben, via Netflix:
“I’m excited to create my first original podcast with Netflix — they’ve been a wonderful partner in telling new stories. I’ve always been fascinated by plot twists, in fiction and in real life, especially the unexpected turns that change who we are. What’s the plot twist that formed you, surprised you, changed your life for the better — or even the worse? That’s a question I’m excited to explore together with a wide variety of guests, from writers and artists to entrepreneurs, actors, athletes, and everyday people with extraordinary stories. I’m looking forward to seeing where this next collaboration takes us."
It will be very interesting to see how this podcast with Coben plays out. Of course, he has a ton of connections in the TV, movie, and publishing industries. You don't write dozens of novels, write and produce another dozen TV shows, and host your own CBS show (Harlan Coben's Final Twist) without making a lot of key connections along the way.
Of course, many of us Netflix fans know Coben from his hit original series, like I Will Find You, Fool Me Once, The Stranger, Stay Close, Run Away, and more. I Will Find You is officially up to No. 6 on the all-time Netflix Top 10 list for TV shows. It's easily his most successful Netflix series.
After I Will Find You, Coben has two more shows in the works right now. As of August 2026, Michelle Keegan and Tom Bateman, along with the rest of the cast and crew, are filming The Woods in the UK. It's based on Coben's book of the same name. We're expecting that to be released in early 2027.
Coben will also follow up his first American series, I Will Find You, with another show set in the USA. Myron Bolitar, which has the potential to be Netflix's first multi-season project based on Coben's works, is also filming right now. David E. Kelley and Kyle Long are developing the series, which will star Colin Woodell, KJ Apa, Jabari Banks, Diane Guerrero, Chloe Fineman, Jamie McShane, and more big stars.
Coben is also publishing a memoir, Plot Twist: Life, Craft, and the Messy First Draft, on Sept. 8, 2026. In other words, it's Coben's world, and we're just living in it.
We'll share more news about Coben's upcoming podcast coming to Netflix soon. Netflix is investing and developing a lot of in-house podcasts, in addition to licensing deals for successful podcasts. If it works out, it could be an incredibly lucrative partnership for Coben and his team.
Stay tuned for more news about Coben's upcoming Netflix shows. Hopefully, we find out some release dates soon!
