Harlan Coben's next Netflix show gets a promising update

We have more good news to share from the world of Harlan Coben!

Coben's new Netflix show, Myron Bolitar, will be wrapping about a month earlier than expected. According to What's on Netflix, the cast and crew of Myron Bolitar will finish production on the first season on Oct. 10, 2026. When production started this summer, it was reported that production would last through Nov. 6, so this has the potential to be a major development at Netflix.

Production on Myron Bolitar started filming in late July 2026, according to Netflix. If production actually wraps by early October, that's quite a quick shoot, which is great news for fans of Coben's Netflix shows.

This Myron Bolitar update comes on the back of Michelle Keegan's update about Coben's other Netflix show in the works right now, The Woods. Keegan revealed that The Woods is also set to wrap production in October. So, we have two of Coben's Netlix shows ending production in the same month.

At first, it looked like The Woods would be the next of Coben's shows to premiere on Netflix. We've been eyeing that New Year's Day slot for The Woods for a long, long time. Now, it's looking like there could be some competition should Netflix actually have two of Coben's shows wrapping around the same time.

Ultimately, I think The Woods will be released on Netflix before Myron Bolitar. It's been filming longer. It could, in theory, have episodes completed already, while I don't think that would be the case for Myron Bolitar, based on how things usually go.

We had been thinking that Myron Bolitar would be released on Netflix sometime next summer, just like I Will Find You. Myron Bolitar will still premiere on Netflix in 2027, but it might not be as long before we see the series premiere.

What's Myron Bolitar about?

For those who don't know, Myron Bolitar is going to be Coben's second US-based Netflix show following I Will Find You, which is one of the biggest Netflix releases in history. David E. Kelley and Kyle Long are developing Myron Bolitar, which is based on Coben's books about his most popular character.

Here's the synopsis of the series, via Netflix:

"After an injury ends his NBA dreams, Myron Bolitar reinvents himself as a sports agent — using charm, smarts, and a ruthless partner to navigate the high-stakes and dirty world of sports, where saving his clients often means risking himself."

Colin Woodell stars as Myron Bolitar in the Netflix series, along with KJ Apa, Diana Guerrero, Chloe Fineman, Jabari Banks, Jamie McShane, Ben McKenzie, Ra'Mya Latiah Aikens, Amanda Warren, and many more.

We've seen 13 Netflix shows based on Coben's book so far, but we haven't seen any of those shows get picked up for a second season. Of course, that's by design. These are limited series. That will not be the case for Myron Bolitar. I will be absolutely shocked if this series isn't a staple of the Netflix lineup for years to come.

There is so much potential with the source material. There are 12 novels about Bolitar, so we should see those stories brought to Netflix over the next decade. Kelley is obviously well-known for creating hit mystery TV shows, but he already has a Netflix hit in The Lincoln Lawyer. I think we have another one of those shows on our hands, but Myron Bolitar might be even more popular because of the Harlan Coben of it all. Netflix viewers love these shows.

We'll share more news about Myron Bolitar as we find out, but if everything goes well, we could be talking about a release date sooner rather than later.
