Harlan Coben’s I Will Find You makes Netflix history with latest milestone

Harlan Coben's I Will Find You is officially more popular than Wednesday season 2!

According to the latest Netflix ratings update, I Will Find You has officially racked up more than 120 million views in just under three months on Netflix. That's good enough on No. 5 on the all-time Netflix Top 10 TV list and exactly one million views more than Wednesday season 2.

This is a remarkable achievement for a new Netflix mystery series. I didn't think we'd see a Netflix show become a Stranger Things or Wednesday-sized hit like this, surely not one of Coben's shows. We just don't see new shows like this very often catch fire and stay relevant for this long. The only other one-season Netflix show that comes to mind is Adolesence, which is the No. 2 show on the Netflix Top 10 list.

I Will Find You will remain the No. 5 show on the Netflix Top 10. It's not going to be moving up any higher, unfortunately. To do so, it would need a serious resurgence in the next few days to catch Stranger Things season 5, which racked up 133.8 million views in its first three months on Netflix.

In order to top Stranger Things season 5, I Will Find You would need to rack up about 14 million views in a week. The series hasn't been doing that many views since the first few weeks on Netflix after its premiere on June 18. Lately, we've only seen I Will Find You adding one or two million views per week. That's not a bad number, but time has run out for I Will Find You to beat out Stranger Things for a higher spot. Top 5 on the all-time Netflix Top 10, though? That's wild!

There's no doubt that I Will Find You is the biggest streaming release of the summer on Netflix. It's very hard to compare streaming releases across platforms, but aside from House of the Dragon season 3, I Will Find You was the release of the summer.

Despite all of the viewership numbers, there won't be a second season of I Will Find You. Sam Worthington, Britt Lower, and Milo Ventimiglia are moving on to other projects. That's the bad news. The good news is that we won't be waiting long for Coben's next big show.

Harlan Coben's next big Netflix show is coming soon

Following up on the success of I Will Find You will not be a challenge for Coben and Netflix. The Woods, Coben's next Netflix show, is currently filming in the UK, but it will be wrapping production very soon.

The Woods star Michelle Keegan, who also starred in Netflix's Fool Me Once, revealed during an appearance on The One Show on BBC that production will wrap sometime in October 2026.

With production on The Woods ending soon, we're expecting the series to be released on Netflix on New Year's Day 2027. It's a tight window, but we've seen new Coben Netflix shows premiere on New Year's Day for the last three years. I don't think that's going to stop right now after I Will Find You's success.

In addition to The Woods, Netflix also has Coben's Myron Bolitar series in the works. That's the one that has potential to be even bigger than I Will Find You. The thriller from David E. Kelley is going to arrive on Netflix sometime later in 2027. It's also filming right now, but it started much later than The Woods, so we'll definitely see that series first.

Based on how I Will Find You performed this summer, I think Myron Bolitar could be released in June or July next year, but we'll keep you posted on the release date when we find out.
