We're three months into the new year, and Netflix has been releasing some pretty great shows and movies. However, where's all the teen content? The last big teen show release was when Finding Her Edge dropped on the platform back in January. Since then, the streaming giant has been noticeably quiet when it comes to the kind of coming-of-age dramas and high school stories that usually dominate its lineup.

The good news is that many popular teen shows are confirmed to return this year. There's Heartbreak High season 3, XO, Kitty season 3, My Life with the Walter Boys season 3, and Ginny and Georgia season 4, among others. In fact, the highly anticipated fourth season of Ginny and Georgia just received a really exciting update. Based on previous knowledge, we knew this update would be coming soon.

Actually, we expected it to arrive last month. However, that ultimately didn’t happen. Now that the news has finally dropped, it gives viewers a much clearer picture of what’s happening behind the scenes with season 4. It's exactly the kind of update fans have been hoping for!

Ginny and Georgia season 4 officially wraps production in March 2026

It's really true, Netflix Lifers. On March 6, Ginny and Georgia star Antonia Gentry shared a photo on her Instagram story of herself on the set of the fourth season. In the photo, she's shown smiling at the camera. While it's great anytime Gentry posts on her personal social media page, this particular post is one we've been waiting on for a long time.

On the photo, there's some juicy text. It reads, "last day of filming! 3x [face with tongue emoji]." Since Gentry shared this photo on her Instagram story on March 6, it appears that production on Ginny and Georgia season 4 wrapped that same day. This is incredible news. It marks a major milestone as the new episodes will now move into post-production.

Netflix has not made a big announcement about the fourth season wrapping just yet, but Gentry’s behind-the-scenes update seems to confirm that filming has officially come to an end. The streaming giant may or may not follow up with a formal announcement soon, but for fans of Ginny and Georgia, this kind of update is more than enough to get excited about.

Originally, we thought the cameras would stop rolling on Feb. 25. That was the rumored Ginny and Georgia season 4 filming wrap date that had been going around. However, Feb. 25 came and went with no official confirmation from the cast, crew, or Netflix. Rumors circulated that production had to take longer because the weather was bad where the hit teen show was filmed (Toronto). However, there's no confirmation of this.

Honestly, the rumored Feb. 25 wrap date wasn't far off from the actual timeline. Production on Ginny and Georgia season 4 finished just a little over a week later. That said, maybe there's some truth to the rumors about weather delays. Whatever the cause, the important thing is that filming is now complete. With the cameras wrapped, Ginny and Georgia season 4 can now move fully into post-production, where editors and music supervisors will bring the new season to life.

Back in October 2025, Netflix CEO Ted Sarandos revealed during the streaming giant's Q3 earnings call that Ginny and Georgia season 4 would be coming out sometime in 2026. Of course, this was really good news to hear.

However, fans were left anxious when Netflix’s official 2026 lineup was released in January 2026, and the fourth season was not included. The absence instantly sparked rumors and speculation that the season might be delayed, with some news outlets even suggesting a possible 2027 release.

Fortunately for fans, there’s reason to stay optimistic. In a press release about its 2026 slate, Netflix included a disclaimer noting that “select title announcements will come later in the year.” This means that Ginny and Georgia season 4 could simply be one of those “select titles” that hasn’t been officially listed yet. Combined with Sarandos’ earlier confirmation and Gentry’s recent wrap announcement, fans have plenty of reason to remain hopeful.

Don't worry! We'll be back to share the Ginny and Georgia season 4 official release date as soon as Netflix makes it public. In the meantime, fans can take comfort in knowing that filming is complete and the Miller family’s next chapter is steadily moving closer to hitting screens.
