Nothing gets a binge-watcher’s heart racing quite like Netflix adding new licensed content to its library. It’s a moment of pure excitement. Suddenly, titles you missed, cult favorites, and hidden gems from other streamers are all at your fingertips.
This November, Netflix will be adding several licensed shows that were previously exclusive to other streaming services or networks to its platform. One of those shows is a Prime Video series that ran for three seasons before getting the boot in 2021. It's the crime drama Absentia.
Netflix is set to stream Absentia starting November 2025

So, when exactly in November will this show drop on Netflix? You can expect all three seasons of Absentia to arrive on your favorite streamer on Friday, Nov. 14, 2025. Although Netflix hasn't made a big announcement about its arrival, a release notice can be found on the show's title page on the platform. The notice states that seasons of Absentia are coming on Nov. 14.
With licensed content, it’s tricky to know what time exactly shows will become available, as Netflix doesn’t always release them at a consistent hour. However, the streaming giant usually releases its original shows and movies at 12:00 a.m. PT/3:00 a.m. ET on their release dates. There's a possibility that Absentia will be released at this time. But again, Netflix can be a bit unpredictable when it comes to licensed content.
Gaia Violo and Matt Cirulnick created Absentia. Castle's Stana Katic stars in the leading role as Emily Byrne, a dedicated FBI agent whose life is turned upside down when she disappears while hunting a notorious serial killer. Presumed dead for six years, Emily returns with no memory of what happened during her disappearance, only to find her world irrevocably changed.
She discovers that her husband has moved on and married another woman, her young son has grown up without her, and the life she once knew is almost unrecognizable. As she struggles to piece together the missing years, she ends up caught in a dangerous situation. New murders begin to unfold around her, and Emily quickly finds herself the prime suspect.
Joining Katic in the cast are Matthew Le Nevez, Patrick Heusinger, Cara Theobold, Neil Jackson, Angel Bonanni, Bruno Bichir, Paul Freeman, Ralph Ineson, Patrick McAuley, Richard Brake, Donald McNair, and others.
Other licensed shows confirmed to be coming to Netflix this November are Soulmates, Minx, Orphan Black: Echoes, and Broadchurch. However, we recommend watching Minx and Soulmates out of these four titles. They're the most entertaining.
