There’s something undeniably exciting about Netflix expanding its library with shows and movies from other creators and networks. In a world where streaming platforms are constantly battling for exclusive content, Netflix’s ability to acquire titles that first lived elsewhere feels like a gift to viewers.
Every time Netflix picks up a show that originally aired somewhere else, it breathes new life into that story. These acquisitions bridge the gap between audiences and the series they might have missed the first time around, offering them a second chance to find new fandoms and reignite old ones.
Back in September 2025, Netflix and AMC took this idea to the next level by extending and expanding their streaming partnership. With this renewed deal, Netflix gained access to a wide range of AMC shows. One of those series was Orphan Black: Echoes, aka one of the network's most polarizing shows. At the time of the announcement, a release date was not set. However, now we know exactly when the sci-fi series will be making its way to Netflix.

Orphan Black: Echoes arrives on Netflix in November 2025
Perhaps you missed Orphan Black: Echoes when it was airing on AMC last year, and you really want to watch it now. Well, you might want to clear your schedule this November. The complete first season of the sci-fi series will be headed to Netflix on Thursday, Nov. 13, 2025.
This is really the official Netflix release date. The streaming giant even put up a release notice on the show's title page on the platform. While Netflix hasn't made some big announcement, this is confirmation right here. You can expect all 10 episodes of the first season to be released on Nov. 13.
Figuring out the release time is kind of tricky, though. Netflix typically releases new content at 12:00 a.m. PT/3:00 a.m. ET, but that's usually for its original shows and movies. Since Orphan Black: Echoes is an acquired series rather than a Netflix original, the exact release time could vary slightly depending on the platform’s scheduling for licensed content.
Orphan Black: Echoes serves as a spinoff of the original Orphan Black series. It's set in the same universe but introduces a new story, new characters, and new mysteries. However, there are a couple of OG's mixed in that will excite fans. The series takes place in the year 2052, in a world transformed by advanced technology and lingering scientific secrets.
We follow a woman named Lucy, who wakes up with no memory of her past and quickly realizes that her life is connected to a larger, dangerous web of secrets involving cloning, corporate conspiracies, and ethical experiments gone wrong. Meanwhile, scientist Kira Manning and her wife team up in an effort to assist Lucy.
Krysten Ritter stars in the lead role as Lucy, with Keeley Hawes taking on the role of Kira. The cast also includes Amanda Fix, Avan Jogia, James Hiroyuki Liao, Rya Kihlstedt, and many others. When it comes to original Orphan Black cast members, Jordan Gavaris and Evelyne Brochu make guest appearances and reprise their roles as Felix and Delphine.
