There’s truly no fandom like the one for Manifest! And that’s just the truth. It’s thanks to the fans’ unwavering loyalty, steadfast dedication, and absolute love for the (now) Netflix Original series that we’re getting a proper ending to the high-flying show. They definitely deserve all the recognition and applause!

The supernatural drama originally aired on NBC for three seasons. Following a devastating cliffhanger, the network surprisingly decided to ground the show mid-flight. Though Netflix initially passed on saving the series, things took a turn when the first three seasons landed on the streaming service.

The combination of its obvious popularity among new viewers, those rewatching the captivating story again, and of course the #SaveManifest campaign, the streamer just couldn’t ignore the passion. And we’re so grateful to you Manifesters who are the reason the show, like the passengers, was brought back!

Manifest had the best fandom in 2022

So how exactly did the awesome fans do what they did? There are a few reasons. First, is the show’s arrival to Netflix, which we agree probably served as a better platform for the way the series is structured, as the lovely Saanvi actress, Parveen Kaur, told us in an interview.

The drama’s audience skyrocketed when the series hit the streamer, and it was able to hold the No. 1 spot in the Netflix Top 10 TV Shows row from when the three seasons hit Netflix, until Virgin River season 3 premiered. But even then, Manifest remained in the Top 10 overall for a long time! This was through the help of new viewers, as well as the long-time, faithful fans who have been watching the show since the beginning.

And speaking of those lovely Manifesters, it’s through the Twitter campaign, started by series creator Jeff Rake, that the show garnered so much attention on social media! Hundreds of lovely fan accounts including @SaveManifest, @RenewManifest@xToniBx, and so many more rallied together to get Netflix’s attention, or any other company seeing it fit to save the show.

But finally on the wonderful day we’ll all remember forever, Aug. 28, 2021 (aka 828 day), the amazing news came that Netflix was saving the show for a fourth and final season! Everyone was excited for the arrival of season 4 part 1 on Nov. 4, 2022, and the numbers definitely showed it!

The first half of the final season was able to bring Netflix 57.1 million viewing hours in the first three days of its debut, according to Deadline. The news outlet also shares that number soared to over 2 billion in the season’s second week, beating The Crown‘s season 5 premiere week.

And now, we bittersweetly close this Manifest journey as the first batch of episodes already premiered Nov. 4, 2022 (aka the day the passengers returned after they were missing for five and a half years), and the final ones should be coming in the spring. So as we embark on this final flight together, let’s take a moment to thank the awesome fans who made it all possible!

Manifest season 4 part 1 is currently streaming on Netflix. Part 2 is expected to drop in spring 2023.
