Happy New Year and happy weekend! It’s that time of the week when Netflix Life gives you a rundown of some amazing Netflix shows to help you unwind during your weekend downtime. A new year means many new releases, and this week, don’t miss the new season of Ginny & Georgia and the final season of The Walking Dead

The new year sees many new releases, and the January list is impressive and includes Christian Bale’s Netflix movie debut in The Pale Blue Eye. This month’s great titles include You People, That ’90s Show, and a new season of Vikings: Valhalla. 

This week, the Top 10 TV shows list sees Wednesday still holding on but has been knocked out of the top spot by Ginny & Georgia. Other titles on the list include Kaleidoscope, Madoff: The Monster of Wall Street, New Amsterdam, Emily in Paris, and The Recruit. 

Viewers have much to look forwards to as February 2023 is shaping up nicely with several other great new releases.

Kaleidoscope

The Netflix original limited series Kaleidoscope was released on Jan. 1, and fans can’t get enough. The series redefines what you thought you knew about the series by allowing viewers to watch the episodes in any order. The episode “Black” explains the concept with “White” always intended as the season finale episode. The American heist drama will keep viewers on the edge of their seats as they follow criminal leader Leo Pap (Giancarlo Esposito) and his crew as they try to pull off the ultimate heist with a payout of $7 billion.

The Walking Dead season 11 

The eleventh and final season of the long-running series The Walking Dead has now been released on Netflix. The streamer now has the entire series in its catalog, to the delight of fans who will be watching or perhaps even rewatching. Season 11 takes on a new big bad known as the Commonwealth and finds the survivors fighting for their lives. The final season consists of 24 episodes and concludes the story that will be carried on in several spinoff series debuting in 2023.

MADOFF: The Monster of Wall Street

Bernie Madoff, the man who embarked on a 64 billion dollar Ponzi scheme, is the focus of the Netflix limited series MADOFF: The Monster of Wall Street. The four-part docuseries follows the rise and fall of Madoff, whose scheme affected the lives of countless individuals who placed their trust in the Wall Street financier. This in-depth dive reveals that Madoff’s fraudulent investment scheme wasn’t the mastermind of one individual, but there were several co-conspirators and many who turned a blind eye to his suspicious behaviors.

Ginny & Georgia season 2

The second season of Ginny & Georgia is now available to stream. The series follows teenage Ginny (Antonia Gentry) and her brother Austin (Diesel La Torraca) as they move to New England with their relatively immature mother, Georgia (Brianne Howey). Believing a new start will help her children have a better life, Georgia moves the family to a new town. Season 2 will pick up where the first season left off, with Ginny trying to deal with the shocking events of her mother’s past.

The Glory part 1

The first part of the new  K-drama, The Glory released at the very end of 2022. The series quickly caught viewers’ attention and is sitting nicely on the top 10 list of TV shows. The series follows a woman who was tormented by bullies during her high school years. Many years after the horrific experiences, she plans an elaborate scheme to exact her revenge on her tormentors. Part 2 of the series is expected to release in March 2023.
