Kaleidoscope is a unique Netflix series because you can watch the episodes in any order. What is the best order to watch it in? Should you try viewing the season chronologically, or is another order better?

Netflix decided to kick off 2023 with a unique start by releasing their experimental heist drama Kaleidoscope. Giancarlo Esposito stars as a professional thief named Leo Papp who breaks out of jail to pull off a multi-billion dollar heist, but first, he has to assemble the perfect team. The cast also features Rufus Sewell, Paz Vega, Rosaline Elbay, Jai Courtney, Tati Gabrielle, and Peter Mark Kendall.

How many different episode orders can you watch Kaleidoscope?

Since there are eight episodes in total, that means there are 40,320 different orders to watch the show. That is a daunting number. To make things easier, we’ve compiled other orders for you to experiment with while binge-watching the show.

Kaleidoscope episodes in chronological order

There are multiple orders to watch Kaleidoscope in, but if you’re interested in watching the show chronologically, we have the list for you right here!

  • Violet: 24 Years Before the Heist
  • Green: 7 Years Before the Heist
  • Yellow: 6 Weeks Before the Heist
  • Orange: 3 Weeks Before the Heist
  • Blue: 5 Days Before the Heist
  • White: The Heist
  • Red: The Morning After the Heist
  • Pink: 6 Months After

Using the above list could also help you figure out how to watch the show in reverse-chronological order if you wanted to start from the aftermath of the heist and work your way back to the past.

Netflix has said they gave viewers a randomized order, but “White” is supposed to be the finale. However, having seen all the episodes, you can watch “White” out of order, but I would only recommend doing so if you’re watching chronologically. If you decide to watch in any other order, it would be best to watch “White” last because it contains flashbacks to some of the episodes that take place before it.

Other Kaleidoscope watch orders

There are some other orders you can watch the show in, including the “Rainbow Order” and an order to feel more like a Quentin Tarantino film. Netflix shared some ideas from their official account.

Of course, you can always watch in the random order that Netflix assigns you!
