A Perfect Pairing ending explained and spoilers: Do Lola and Max end up together?

A Perfect Pairing starring Victoria Justice and Sex/Life star Adam Demos is now streaming on Netflix, and it’s by far the cutest romantic comedy of the year so far.

In the movie, Justice plays Lola, a wine executive looking to launch her own business with a high-profile client. But landing this client won’t be so easy. She travels to Australia and rolls up her sleeves in an effort to impress the company’s owner. Meanwhile, she falls for the gruff ranch hand.

But what happens in the end of the movie? Does Lola finally find true love with Max? Can Lola and her former work bestie settle their differences? And what becomes of Salud Imports and Vaughn Family Wines? Let’s break down the super cute ending of A Perfect Pairing.

Do Lola and Max end up together in A Perfect Pairing?

Yes! It’s not a straight line for Lola and Max’s love story, but the sparks had been there from the very beginning. Once they finally admitted their feelings for each other, the next hurdle for them to overcome was Max’s secret about who he is and his relation to Hazel Vaughn.

Max had become accustomed to keeping the fact that he’s a Vaughn — Hazel’s brother — and a silent partner in the family win label from the world. He hadn’t even told his friends on the ranch! Lola’s hurt by this omission and plans her exit from Australia.

After she leaves and focuses on her company, Max tracks down Lola and brings her a bottle of Vaughn Family Wines with Lola’s drawing of Sybylla Vaughn on the label, which was her idea. He tells her that he’s no longer a silent partner and wants to work with Salud Imports. In the end, they kiss and officially mix business and pleasure. A happy ending for a perfect pairing!

Do Lola and Audra make up in A Perfect Pairing?

It’s no surprise why Lola quit her job at the stuffy wine company and ended her friendship with Audra (Lucy Durack). She stole Lola’s idea to go after Vaughn Family Wines and presented it as her own. That’s a low blow, and Lola was right to part ways with both the company and Audra.

However, Lola gives Audra a second chance in the end, and the two work together to build Salud Imports from the ground up. They seem to work well together, and now that their startup company has landed Vaughn Family Wines, there’s nowhere to go but up.

How is Max related to Hazel Vaughn in A Perfect Pairing?

One of the biggest “mysteries” of the movie is exactly how Max and Hazel (Samantha Cain) are related to one another. It’s vague in the beginning. Are they family? Were they in a relationship in the past? Are they just friends who work together?

As Max soon reveals, Vaughn Family Wines CEO Hazel Vaughn is his older sister! Even though she’s wanted Max to be more involved with the company, he’s remained on the sidelines working on the ranch. Lola helps Max realize that he can and should listen to his sister.
