A Perfect Pairing launches this Thursday only on Netflix. The new movie stars Victoria Justice as Lola, an LA wine-company executive who travels to an Australian sheep station in the hopes of landing a major client. While working as a ranch hand on the farm, Lola meets a rugged local named Max and finds herself drawn to him throughout the training process.

But Max has secrets and they might stand in the way of the burgeoning romance between the two. If you’re interested in watching the charming movie, you might be curious about what it is rated and whether or not it would make a good film for a family movie night. Below we’ll go into the age rating and parents guide so you have an idea of what to expect from the film.

A Perfect Pairing age rating

A Perfect Pairing has received an age rating of TV-14, meaning the content in the film might not be suitable for viewers under the age of 14. Parents are strongly cautioned.

Is there any nudity in A Perfect Pairing?

Considering star Adam Demos is known for getting hot and heavy in his other Netflix project Sex/Life, it’s understandable that some parents might want to know whether or not A Perfect Pairing veers toward the steamier side of things.

Here’s your answer: no. There isn’t any nudity in the film apart from Demos going shirtless a few times, but nothing overly sexual. The movie is pretty tame, think more along the lines of a Hallmark production.

Are there any sex scenes in A Perfect Pairing?

No there are no sex scenes in the film. The only intimacy is kissing, so you don’t need to worry about the characters getting hot and heavy all the sudden if you decide to watch with your family!

Is there any drug or alcohol use in A Perfect Pairing?

Considering the movie is about a wine executive, you probably already know the answer to this. Yes, there is alcohol use in the film. Characters drink wine and enjoy it. The film is rated TV-14 for “substances” so that’s the main reason A Perfect Pairing is TV-14 rather than TV-PG.

A Perfect Pairing releases this Thursday, May 19, on Netflix.
