Never Have I Ever season 3 confirmed for summer 2022 release

There’s some great and not-as-great news in store for Never Have I Ever fans! After the second season of the teen romantic comedy series from creators Mindy Kaling and Lang Fisher premiered to huge numbers in summer 2021, Never Have I Ever season 3 is officially on the way.

In late February 2022, series star Darren Barnet shared the exciting update with fans that the third season had wrapped filming, which increased our anticipation for the forthcoming season even more. But that wasn’t the only Never Have I Ever news to come.

On March 8, Netflix announced that the series has been renewed for a fourth and final season, which will kick off production later in 2022 for an intended premiere in 2023. Never Have I Ever season 4 will take place during Devi’s senior year, so even bigger choices will be made.

Along with the final season announcement, fans received further confirmation about when Never Have I Ever season 3 would be released on Netflix. Save a spot on your watch list this summer for the next chapter of Devi’s ups and downs in life, love, and friendship.

Never Have I Ever season 3 coming summer 2022

In both the official announcement and co-creator Mindy Kaling’s statement, Never Have I Ever has been confirmed for a release sometime in summer 2022.

Since the new season has only wrapped in late February, it’s unlikely that the season will drop much before mid-summer. As much as we would like for season 3 to premiere as early as June 2022, we’re predicting another July release for Never Have I Ever.

Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, who plays the lead character Devi Vishwakumar, also confirmed that Never Have I Ever season 3 is set to arrive in her note to fans about the imminent final season. Read Ramakrishnan’s full note in the tweet below.

It’s definitely bittersweet to say goodbye to Never Have I Ever so soon, but a four-season run for a series set in a very specific time in a teenage girl’s life make sense. But there’s more Maitreyi Ramakrishnan on the way in the upcoming Netflix movie The Netherfield Girls.
