Darren Barnet shares major Never Have I Ever season 3 update

Get ready to shout how happy you are from the rooftops because we have some really good news to share with you regarding Never Have I Ever season 3!

The teen series premiered in April 2020 and viewers instantly fell in love with the show. Even critics mainly had positive things to say about the show. It took almost three months for Netflix to renew the series for a second season, but it happened. When season 2 landed on Netflix in July 2021, it garnered the same response, and now the original series is going on its third season.

There have been many updates about Never Have I Ever season 3 since it was announced to be happening, but the latest update is probably the best update we’ve learned so far.

Darren Barnet, who plays Paxton in the teen series, has revealed some important information about where the show is in the filmmaking process, and just know that we’re so much closer to seeing Never Have I Ever season 3 on Netflix.

Never Have I Ever season 3 wraps production

On March 1, Darren Barnet posted a collage of selfies and videos on his Instagram. You’re probably wondering why this matters. Well, it’s the caption that you should be paying attention to. The caption reads, “Yesterday was our final day of shooting season 3 of @neverhaveiever and we ended off in Malibu! Thank you to everyone who makes this show possible and thank you to our fans. I’m filled with love and gratitude.”

Darren posted these photos and videos on his Instagram on March 1 but said the cast and crew of Never Have I Ever finished filming the day before. This means that Never Have I Ever season 3 officially wrapped filming on Feb. 28! No other cast members have spoken about production wrapping yet, but it looks like Darren couldn’t hold it in any longer. We’re not complaining, though. This means we’re several steps closer to seeing the third season on Netflix.

Never Have I Ever season 3 release updates

The teen series does not have an official release date yet, but now that the show is in post-production, we have an idea of when the third season could arrive on Netflix. Post-production will likely take about six months. Six months from Feb. 28 would set the release date sometime in August. However, the show could spend about four months in post-production, putting the release date sometime in June. Basically, we’re looking at a late spring or summer release.
