New Netflix movies and shows coming in April 2022

We’re finding out more and more new Netflix movies and shows coming in April 2022 as the spring season on Netflix gets underway.

March kicked off quite the exciting release slate with new Netflix movies such as Against the Ice and The Weekend Away, as well as highly anticipated series like Pieces of Her and Bridgerton season 2. Thankfully, there’s plenty more great new release titles coming in April.

Below we’re sharing the list of the new Netflix movies and shows releasing this month.

New Netflix movies April 2022

Although The Adam Project and Windfall will be tough acts to follow when it comes to movies, we’ve seen a few announcements for some of the biggest new movies coming in April 2022, including Judd Apatow’s The Bubble and the romantic drama Along for the Ride.

The Bubble

Release Date: April 1

Netflix started teasing the release of Judd Apatow’s latest film The Bubble in March with the teaser for the movie-within-the-movie Cliff Beasts 6: Battle for Everest. While that surely got our attention, we can’t wait to see Karen Gillan, Keegan-Michael Key, Leslie Mann, Pedro Pascal, and more star as actors filming a blockbuster during the pandemic.

Along for the Ride

Release Date: April 22

The romantic drama film Along for the Ride stars Saved By the Bell reboot breakout Belmont Cameli as Eli and Emma Pasarow as Auden as a pair of insomniacs who meet the summer before their first year of college. The movie also stars Kate Bosworth, Andie MacDowell, and Dermot Mulroney. UPDATE: The release date has moved to May 6.

New Netflix shows April 2022

Even though there are some great new Netflix movies coming in April, most fans are probably much more excited about the upcoming shows being released this month. One word: Ozark.

Anatomy of a Scandal

Release Date: April 15

If you’re a fan of psychological thrillers and courtroom dramas, Anatomy of a Scandal should be on your watch list this April. The six-episode British limited series follows the unraveling of a political scandal comes from David E. Kelley and stars Sienna Miller, Michelle Dockery, and Rupert Friend.

Russian Doll season 2

Release Date: April 20

Finally, Russian Doll returns with its highly anticipated follow-up season. The Emmy-nominated series returns with Natasha Lyonne as Nadia, Charlie Barnett as Alan, Greta Lee as Maxine, and more familiar faces from season 1 for another time-bending adventure. Schitt’s Creek star Annie Murphy joins the cast in the second season, making it even more of a must-watch.

Ozark season 4 part 2

Release Date: April 29

After the release of Ozark season 4 part 1 in January 2022, most fans had probably resigned themselves to waiting until at least fall for the second half of the final season.
