Ozark season 4 part 1 has finally arrived on Netflix, and it’s without a doubt going to be one of the biggest Netflix shows so far in 2022.

It’s been nearly two years since we watched the shocking Ozark season 3 finale, which completely changed the game and led to the equally jaw-dropping Ozark season 4 part 1. The first half of the final season takes fans on one wild ride from start to finish.

While we wait for Ozark season 4 part 2 to finish the final season later in 2022, Ozark fans understandably need a new Netflix show to binge-watch. Between similar titles and much lighter comedowns, we’re suggesting what to watch (and skip!) after Ozark.

Netflix shows to watch after Ozark season 4

Among the Netflix shows Ozark fans might want to check out after the high-octane binge of part 1 are some comedies, mysteries, and adventures to take the Ozark edge off. Check out the full list here of upcoming releases, and let’s start below with Cobra Kai.

Cobra Kai

Watch! Although most Netflix fans have probably watched Cobra Kai already, for any holdouts still wondering if they should take the plunge, there’s no better time to watch than after Ozark season 4 part 1. The Karate Kid offshoot balances comedy and drama but still packs a hearty punch.

Archive 81

Watch! You’ve more than likely heard about the new horror series on Netflix since it’s currently sitting in the peak of the overall top 10 ranking. Archive 81 is on track to become the next big fan-favorite horror series, and it could be yours after watching Ozark.

The Puppet Master

Skip! By the time you finish Ozark season 4 part 1, you might be a little exhausted of being immersed in a crime world. The popular new Netflix true crime docuseries The Puppet Master: Hunting the Ultimate Conman could be a must-watch later on, but maybe not directly after Ozark.

Dead to Me season 3

Dead to Me

Watch! Thankfully, Netflix is full of crime drama series for fans of the genre, but if you’re looking for something a little lighter post-Ozark, make sure to check out Dead to Me. The third and final season of the Emmy-nominated dark comedy is coming soon, so catch up now!

Manifest

Watch! There will never be a time when we advise you to skip Manifest. The cult favorite series has definitely become a widespread favorite, thanks in part to Netflix. The fourth and final season, which will be split into to parts like Ozark, will take flight in late 2022.

Riverdale season 6

Riverdale

Skip! Around these parts, we’re certainly pro-Riverdale. The one-time teen drama has leaned into its mystery and crime drama ways, but The CW’s campy darling is no substitute for Ozark. Unless you’re prepared for full-tilt crazy, skip this one for a rainy day.

Emily in Paris

Watch! Okay, stay with us here. Emily in Paris couldn’t be more different from Ozark, and that could be a really good thing. Ozark is so dark, and by the time you get to the end of season 4 part 1, you’re going to need a light, breezy palate cleanser. Enter Emily!

Outer Banks

Watch! Outer Banks has been described as “if Dawson’s Creek was Ozark with a touch of Riverdale sprinkled on top,” and that analogy still holds true. Even though we suggested to skip Riverdale this go around, Outer Bank is the perfect follow-up binge that’s full of thrilling suspense. Just watch OBX, and you can thank us later.

Too Hot to Handle

Skip! Following the heaviness of Ozark season 4’s first half, you’re likely inclined to search for something mindless, with levity to spare. It doesn’t get much lighter than the Netflix reality dating series Too Hot to Handle, but don’t feel the need to hop on the bandwagon with this one. Try a baking competition series, a stand-up special, or Queer Eye first.
