Merry Christmas to all who celebrate! To help you find what to watch on Netflix for Christmas day 2021, we shared the best Netflix movies (and a few shows) for you to check out.

It’s really challenging to find a solid movie to watch. Sometimes, I feel like I spend the time it takes to watch a full movie just trying to find something to stream. If that’s you, we’re here to help.

Let’s get the list started with the best Netflix movies to watch for Christmas day 2021 below.

Best Netflix movies Christmas

We’ve picked a mix of the most popular Netflix movies right now, along with some Christmas hits on Netflix.

Let’s get the list started with Red Notice.

Red Notice

Red Notice is officially the most popular (and expensive!) Netflix movie of all time. It stars Ryan Reynolds, Dwayne Johnson, and Gal Gadot. The story follows an FBI profiler who is forced to team up with one art thief to take down another. This is a great pick for the whole family on Christmas day.

The Unforgivable

The Unforgivable is the biggest Netflix movie release of December 2021. The Sandra Bullock-led feature follows a woman who is released from prison years after committing a horrible crime. This is NOT a great pick for the whole family this year.

A California Christmas

A California Christmas and A California Christmas: City Lights are the romantic Christmas movie picks for Christmas day. You’ve seen this movie before, so it’ll feel very comforting.

A Boy Called Christmas

A Boy Called Christmas is my favorite new Netflix Christmas movie for the whole family this year. It has an incredible cast, including Henry Lawfull, Toby Jones, Sally Hawkins, Kristen Wiig, Michiel Huisman, Zoe Colletti, Stephen Merchant, Jim Broadbent, and Maggie Smith.

It’s based on the book of the same name by Matt Haig.

Army of Thieves

Army of Thieves is my favorite Netflix movie of the year. It’s the prequel to Army of the Dead, but it doesn’t have zombies and all that. Instead, it’s a heist movie that introduces the origin story of safecracker Ludwig Dieter. This movie is incredible!

Enola Holmes

Enola Holmes premiered in 2020, so it’s not exactly new, but it’s a great movie to watch with the whole family. Millie Bobby Brown stars as Enola, the younger sister of Sherlock. After her mother disappears, Enola uses her smarts and skills to track her down and gets caught up in another mystery along the way.

Best Netflix shows Christmas

If movies are not your style, there are plenty of good Netflix shows to watch this Christmas.

Let’s get the list started with The Silent Sea.

The Silent Sea

The Silent Sea premiered on Netflix on Christmas Eve 2021, so today is actually the second day to watch the new Netflix original series. It stars Gong Yoo, Bae Doona, Lee Joon, Kim Sun-young, , and Lee Moo-Saeng.

The Korean drama tells the story of a group people who journey through space to collect something from a space station. Sounds interesting!

Sweet Magnolias

Sweet Magnolias is the feel-good Christmas pick! The second season of the hit series is coming to Netflix on Feb. 4, 2022.

For those who don’t know, the series follows three best friends for their whole life who are trying to navigate various things life throws at them: parenting, kids, work, relationships, and more.

Bridgerton

It’s been one year — can you believe it? — since Bridgerton premiered on Netflix. For that reason, it’s a must-watch on Netflix on Christmas day if you’re a fan of the show.

Bridgerton season 2 has officially wrapped production and is coming to Netflix soon.
